This standard replaces GB 23488-2009 "Food Additives 2,3-butanedione." 1 Scope

This standard applies to chemical synthesis of food additives 2,3-butanedione (also known as diacetyl or diacetyl). 2 chemical name, molecular formula, molecular mass and structural formula 2.1 Chemical Name 2,3-butanedione Formula 2.2 C4H6O2 2.3 formula 2.4 relative molecular mass 86.09 (according to 2007 international relative atomic mass)

3 Technical requirements
