This document applies to protection products or components used to protect the eyes or face in production and life. This document does not apply to welding protectors, auto-darkening welding filters, goggles for protection against strong light sources, goggles for protection against lasers, sunglasses and sun lenses.2 Normative referencesThe following documents are referred to in the text in such a way that some or all of their content constitutes requirements of this document. For structures or accessories on eye and face protection products that can be disassembled, adjusted, and replaced, manufacturers shall ensure the convenience of disassembly, adjustment, and replacement, and simplify the operation process as much as possible. The operation process shall comply with ergonomic requirements. Products shall be inspected by visual inspection, touch and other methods. 5.3 Cleaning and disinfection The manufacturer shall provide the materials, methods and steps for cleaning, disinfection and maintenance of eye and face protection products in the instructions for use.6 Geometric optical performance requirements and testing methods6.1 Field of view 6.1.1 Eye and face protection products not applicable to road driving For eye and face protection products that are not suitable for road driving, the horizontal bitamporal field of view of each eye in the wearing position shall not be less than 30°, the horizontal nasal field of view shall not be less than 30°, and the vertical field of view shall not be less than 30° in both the upper and lower directions of the line of sight. 6.1.2 Eye and face protection products applicable to road driving For eye and face protection products that are applicable to road driving, the horizontal bitamporal field of view of each eye in the wearing position shall not be less than 60°, the horizontal nasal field of view shall not be less than 30°, and the vertical field of view shall not be less than 30° in both the upper and lower directions of the line of sight. See Figure 7 for a schematic diagram. 6.2 Refractive power and prismatic power mutual deviation of plain-glass eye and face protection products 6.2.1 Spherical power, astigmatic power and prismatic power The spherical power, astigmatic power and prismatic power of plain-glass eye and face protection products shall meet the requirements of Table 1.For eye and face protection products that use lenses covering both eyes, the absolute value of the difference in spherical power at the reference point of the left and right eyes shall be less than 0.09 D. 6.2.2 Prismatic power mutual deviation The prismatic power mutual deviation of plain-glass eye and face protection products and lenses covering both eyes shall meet the requirements of Table 2.Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2. 6.3 Refractive power and prismatic power mutual deviation of eye and face protection products with vision correction function For eye and face protection products with vision correction function, equipped with single vision lenses and multifocal lenses, their optical performance shall meet the requirements of 5.6 in GB 13511.1-2011, which shall be tested in accordance with the method given in Chapter 6 of GB 13511.1-2011.7 Physical optical performance requirements and testingmethods 7.1 Visible light transmittance For eye and face protection products without light filtering effect, the visible light transmittance at the reference point shall not be less than 85%. Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2. 7.2 Transmittance uniformity Unless otherwise specified, the transmittance uniformity of eye and face protection products with light filtering effect shall meet the following requirements. 7.3 Scattered light The wide angle scattering value shall not be greater than 2%. When the visible light transmittance of eye and face protection products is not less than 15%, the test shall be carried out according to the method given in 7.1 of GB/T 2410-2008.When the visible light transmittance of eye and face protection products is less than 15%, the test shall be carried out according to the method given in 7.2 of GB/T 2410-2008. 7.4 Reflectance For eye and face protection products coated with an anti-reflection coating, the visible light reflectance shall be less than 2.5%. Test according to the method given in 5.3 of GB 10810.4-2011. 7.5 Driving transmittance requirements and traffic light identification 7.5.1 Transmittance requirements The visible light transmittance of eye and face protection products suitable for driving shall not be less than 8%. Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2.8 Physical and mechanical performance requirements andtesting methods 8.1 Protection area 8.1.1 Eye protection area Figure 8 and Table 4 show the basic eye protection area. All eye and face protection products applicable to this document shall be able to cover this area and ensure the safety of the wearer. For eye and face protection products with side protection, the side protection area in Figure 8 shall also be covered. 8.2 Basic impact protection performance Basic impact protection performance is the minimum mechanical strength requirement for eye and face protection products. All eye and face protection products to which this document is applicable shall meet the requirement. 8.3 High-speed particle impact protection performance According to the impact speed, high-speed particle impact protection performance can be divided into three grades. low speed, medium speed, and high speed. Table 8 gives the impact speed and minimum protection area size of high-speed particle impact protection performance. For eye and face protection products with high-speed particle impact protection performance, the products shall be classified according to their performance and it shall be ensured that the products meet the requirements. Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2. 8.4 Impact protection performance of high and heavy objects By default, the medium-sized head model in accordance with Table A.1 shall be used for testing, and the protection area is shown in Figure 10 and Table 6.During the test, the eye and face protection product shall be in the wearing position. There are two test positions, namely the front of the left eye and the front of the right eye. Tested according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2, eye and face protection products shall not have the following conditions. 8.5 Head bands or hair bands The head band or hair band shall be adjustable or self-adjusting. Carry out the test by visual inspection. 8.6 Material and surface quality Except for the 5 mm wide area at the edge of the lens, there shall not be any surface defects that may damage vision, such as bubbles, scratches, impurities, dark spots, corrosion spots, mildew, dents, repair spots, specks, blisters, water stains, holes, gas impurities, chips, cracks, polishing defects or ripples, etc., within a circular area with a radius of 30 mm centered on the reference point. Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2. 8.7 Heat resistance After testing, the sample shall not have deformation or parts falling-off. Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2. 8.8 UV radiation resistance Tested according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2, eye and face protection products shall meet the following requirements. 8.10 Flame retardant performance Eye and face protection products shall not continue to burn after the steel rod is removed (except for head bands). Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2. 8.11 Ventilation holes puncture resistance For eye and face protection products with ventilation devices, the ventilation holes shall be able to prevent the entry of long rods with a diameter of 1.5 mm. Test according to the method in Appendix E. 8.12 Abrasion resistance Test according to the method given in GB/T 32166.2.After the test, its wide-angle scattering shall not be greater than 8%.9 Marking and testing methods9.1 General requirements The marking of eye and face protection products can be marked on the appropriate location outside the minimum field of view of the product – such as the frame, lens edge, visor surface edge, etc. – by spraying, etching, molding, etc. Under normal lighting conditions, markings shall be clear and easy to read. Use visual inspection methods. 9.2 Permanence requirements During the use of the product, the marking shall not be unreadable due to peeling, corrosion or wear. Table 10 gives the markings and corresponding requirements for eye and face protection products.
