4 Principles of Classification and Application of Digital Journals

4.1 Scientific principles According to the essential attributes or characteristics of digital journals, digital journals are classified into their categories. 4.2 Principle of rationality Classify digital journals in accordance with the principles of reason or reason, so that the classification is easy to understand. 4.3 The principle of specificity The classification of digital journals should be as accurate as possible, and the classification granularity should be fine rather than coarse.

5 Classification system of digital journals

5.1 Architecture The classification system of digital journals consists of two types. main category table and multiple sub-list, and its structure is shown in Figure 1. 5.2 Main category table According to the framework of "Chinese Library Classification (Fifth Edition)", the main category table has been adjusted appropriately. The five-part composition of the first-level category code, the third-level category code, the category name and the category description are shown in Appendix A. 5.3 Multiple points table The multiple points table consists of language multiple points table (see Appendix B), carrier type multiple points table (see Appendix C), publication frequency multiple points table (see Appendix D), The composition of the multiple points table for the location of the publishing unit (see Appendix E), as shown in Figure 2.The multiple points table cannot be used alone, and should be used in conjunction with the main category table category.

6 Coding method for classification of digital journals

6.1 Coding of the main category table The main category table adopts the coding method of "Chinese Library Classification (Fifth Edition)", that is, the combination of Chinese pinyin letters and Arabic numerals The rules are as follows. a) Use 1 letter to mark 1 major category, and reflect the sequence of major categories in alphabetical order; b) Use numbers after the letters to indicate the division of categories under the major categories; Note. In order to meet the needs of the classification of "industrial technology" digital journals, the sub-category of the next level is also divided into letter signs, that is, the second level of industrial technology Class, using double letters. c) The decimal system is used for the coding of numbers, that is, the first digit after the letter is sequenced first, then the second digit is sequenced, and so on; d) The arrangement of classification codes, strictly in accordance with the arrangement method of the decimal system; e) Set the number, try to make the coded series represent the class, basically follow the principle of layer accumulation, but in order to make the number The code adapts to the needs of category settings. For more than 10 homologous classes, the eight-point system (18, 91, 92) or two-digit system is adopted. (11, 1299) coding method, please refer to "Chinese Library Classification (Fifth Edition)" for specific coding method; f) If necessary, use the auxiliary symbol "-" as the general compound semicolon, which is placed in front of the number "0". 6.2 Coding of the multipoint table 6.2.1 Coding of the language multipoint table The category code of the language multiplex table shall be the three-letter code of each language in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 4880.2, and the first letter of the English name of the language shall be in sequence Sequence arrangement. 6.2.2 Encoding of the carrier type multiple points table The category code of the carrier type multipoint table consists of a layer of codes, a total of 2 digits, and is represented by Arabic numerals 01 to 99. Example. CD 02 6.2.3 Coding of the publication frequency multipoint table The category code of the publication frequency multipoint table consists of a layer of codes, a total of 2 digits, and is represented by Arabic numerals 01 to 99. Example. Weekly 01 6.2.4 Multiple points table for the location of the publishing unit The Chinese administrative divisions in the multiple points table of the publishing unit’s location shall be implemented in accordance with the principles of digital code compilation in GB/T 2260; among them "Other overseas regions" use 900000 codes. Example 1.130000 Hebei Province Example 2.130100, Shijiazhuang City Example 3.Other overseas regions 900,000 6.3 Assembly rules The combination of the multiple points table and the main table shall be in accordance with the following rules. a) When assembling, use the corresponding code of the multiple table to connect the category code of the multiple table, see Table 1 for the code of the multiple table of digital journals; b) Use "." to connect the main category number and the semicolon; c) When it is necessary to have continuous multiple divisions, use "." to match two or more different semicolons into a comprehensive class number, adjacent to each other The two class numbers are side by side.
