Summary: This standard applies to all plastic. Other materials are also suitable for evaluating (e. g., rubber, fabric covering, painted surfaces, wood and other materials). This section applies to measuring the optical density of smoke generated by burning plastics and maximum optical density of the test results. It is only used to judge the performance of plastics fuming under specified conditions, you can not judge the actual use of smoke damage. Note: The future development of test methods may make the standard range is extended to include other smog test (eg, dynamic method), the scope of this section will also be expanded accordingly.

Foreword

GB/T 8323-2008 "plastic smoke generated" is divided into the following two parts. --- Part 1. smoke density test method guidelines; --- Part 2. Test method for determination of smoke density single-chamber method. This section GB/T 8323 Part 1, equivalent to international standards ISO 5659-1.1996 "Standard Test Method for guiding the optical density of smoke then". For ease of use, made part of the editorial changes. --- Remove the ISO 5659-1.1996 Foreword; --- Remove the ISO 5659-1.1996 for the purpose of Chapter 4; --- The "this part of ISO 5659" with the words "GB/T 8323 to the present section"; --- The International Standard quoted in the standard replace the corresponding national standards; --- Some of the statements apply to international standards to apply to our standard formulation; --- Remove the ISO 5659-1.1996 Annex B. Appendix A of this section is an informative annex. This part is proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association. This part of the National Standardization Technical Committee of plastic products and plastic resins General Methods Chapter (SAC/TC15/SC4) centralized. This part of the main drafting units. 1 Scope

GB/T 8323 This section applies to all plastic can also be applied to evaluate other materials (such as rubber, textile coverings, Painted surfaces, wood and other materials). This section applies to the fumes of burning plastic optical density measured when produced, and the maximum optical density of the test results. It is only used to judge Fuming properties of plastics under specified conditions, the judge can not smoke when actual harm. Note. the future development of test methods may enable the scope expanded to include other standard smoke test (for example, dynamic method), the scope of this section will also be appropriate Extension.
