1 Scope

This section GB/T 8151 provides for determination of copper content of zinc concentrates. This section applies to the determination of zinc concentrate copper content measurement range. 0.50% to 3.00%.

2 Method summary

Samples with hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and ammonium fluoride dissolved in dilute nitric acid medium, atomic absorption spectrometer at a wavelength of 324.7nm, air - Acetylene flame measured absorbance of copper.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical reagent and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity. 3.1 hydrochloride (ρ1.19g/mL). Nitrate 3.2 (ρ1.42g/mL). 3.3 nitric acid (11). 3.4 saturated solution of ammonium fluoride, stored in a plastic bottle. 3.5 copper standard stock solution. Weigh 1.0000g copper (wCu≥99.99%) in 250mL beaker, add 20mL of nitric acid (3.3), Table covered dish, heated until completely dissolved and cooled to room temperature. Transferred 1000mL volumetric flask and dilute to the mark with water and mix. This solution was 1mL containing 1mg of copper. 3.6 Copper Standard Solution. Pipette 10.00mL copper standard stock solution (3.5) in 100mL volumetric flask, was added 10mL of nitric acid (3.3), Dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 100μg copper.

4 Instrument

Atomic absorption spectrometer, with copper hollow cathode lamp. Under instrument conditions, who can achieve the following indicators atomic absorption spectrometer can be used. --- Characteristic concentration. in the sample solution matrix consistent solution features copper concentration should not exceed 0.15μg/mL; --- Precision. the highest concentration of the standard solution with 10 times the absorbance measured, and the standard deviation should not exceed the average absorbance 1.50%. The absorbance measured 10 times the minimum concentration of the standard solution (not a "zero" standard solution), and the standard deviation should not exceed 0.50% the highest concentration of the standard average absorbance; --- Linear curve. The curve is divided into five sections according to concentration, absorbance difference between the absorbance difference between the highest and the lowest segment of the segment Ratio should not be less than 0.90.

5 Sample

5.1 Samples should sift through the 0.100mm hole.
