This document replaces GB/T 7713.1-2006 “Rules for Writing Dissertations”. GB/T 7713-1987 "Format for Writing Scientific and Technical Reports, Dissertations and Academic Papers" specifies the format for writing scientific and technical reports, dissertations and academic papers. The writing requirements and format of academic papers are uniformly stipulated. GB/T 7713 is planned to consist of 4 parts. --- Part 1.Dissertation. The purpose is to specify the format and requirements for writing a dissertation. --- Part 2.Academic Papers. The purpose is to specify the writing format and layout requirements of academic papers. --- Part 3.Scientific and technological reports. The purpose is to specify the requirements for the writing, organization and layout of scientific and technological reports. --- Part 4.Data Papers. The purpose is to specify the components, writing format and layout requirements of data papers. This document describes the components of a dissertation, basic writing requirements, formatting requirements, and format specifications. Standardization and normalization are the promotion of the standardization of thesis format and style, language and symbol standardization, measurement unit standardization, and clear structure and organization.
