Foreword

GB/T 7036 Inner Tube of Pneumatic Tyres consists of the following two parts. --- Part 1.Inner Tube of Motor Vehicle Tyres; --- Part 2.Inner Tube of Motorcycle Tyres. This Part belongs to Part 2 of GB/T 7036. This Part was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009. This Part replaced GB/T 7036.2-2007 Inner Tube of Pneumatic Tyres – Part 2.Inner Tube of Motorcycle Tyres. Compared with GB/T 7036.2-2007, this Part has the major technical changes as follows. --- Add “the size of the inner tube shall meet the matching requirements of the used tyre. When the same inner tube can be applied to different tyres, the specifications of the tyres that can be matched shall be represented on the inner tube” (see 4.1 of this Edition); --- Modify and confirm the size of the rubber base for the small rubber base valve (see Table 1 of this Edition; Table 1 of Edition 2007); --- Modify the expression of the aeration measurement position in the air tightness test method (see 5.1.1 of this Edition; 5.1.1 of Edition 2007); --- Modify “... and immerse into water for 1min; if there is more than 1 bubble...” into “... and immerse into water for 1min; if there are 1 or more bubbles...” (see 5.1.3 of this Edition; 5.1.3 of Edition 2007); --- Modify “rubber base for rubber base valve and tyre body...” into “rubber base valve and tyre body...” (see Table 1 and 5.5 in this Edition; Table 1 and 5.5 of Edition 2007); --- Add the methods for the values of tensile strength and elongation (see 5.2 of this Edition); --- Modify “cut a 20mm~30mm-sized mouth at the joint BETWEEN the rubber base AND the rubber of tyre body OF the sample...” into “cut a 10mm~15mm-sized mouth at the joint BETWEEN the rubber base AND the rubber of tyre body OF the sample...”; add a sampling diagram of the bond strength test between the rubber base valve and the tyre body (see 5.5.1 of this Edition; 5.5.1 of Edition 2007); --- Add the sampling and inspection rules (see Clause 6 of this Edition); --- Modify the width of the Type-B inner tube color line from 2mm to 1mm; add “7.3 Type-A inner tube shall not mark the color line used for the Type-B inner tube specified in 7.2” (see 7.2 and 7.3 of this Edition; 6.2 of Edition 2007). This Part was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee for Standardization of Tyres and Rims (SAC/TC 19). Drafting organizations of this Part. 1 Scope

This Part of GB/T 7036 specifies the types, requirements, test methods, sampling inspection rules and marks for the inner tube of motorcycle tyres. This Part is also applicable to the inner tubes of new motorcycle tyres.

3 Type of Inner Tube

According to the materials used in the manufacture of the inner tube, it can be divided into two types. Type-A inner tube made of natural rubber and natural rubber blend,

4 Requirements

4.1 Specification and size The size of the inner tube shall meet the matching requirements of the used tyre. When the same inner tube can be applied to different tyres, the specifications of the tyres that can be matched shall be represented on the inner tube. 4.3 Appearance quality The inner tube is free of the following appearance defects such as scratches, cracks, bubbles, sponges, impurities that affect the use performance. 4.3 Air tightness The inner tube shall have good air tightness and meet the test requirements specified in 5.1.

5 Test Method

5.1 Air tightness 5.1.1 Inflate the Type-A inner tube; after the sectional circumference of the inner tube opposite to the valve is 120% width of the double overlapping section of the inner tube, stand at the room temperature for 12h. Inflate the Type-B inner tube; after the sectional circumference of the inner tube opposite to the valve is 130% width of the double overlapping section of the inner tube, stand at the room temperature for 8h. 5.2 Tensile test The tensile test shall be carried out as per GB/T 528.When using Type-1 cutter to measure the tensile strength and elongation, separately take 1 specimen along the circumferential direction of the tyre body (see Figure 1) from the crown center, base center, upper mold center and lower mold center of the same section on the non-joint of the inner tube. When measuring the elongation, the tensile strength shall be measured at the same time; which shall be taken as the tensile strength before the aging test. 5.3 Joint tensile strength Specimen. at the crown center, base center, upper mold center, lower mold center; use a Type-1 cutter to separately take 1 specimen along the circumferential direction of the tyre body (as shown in Figure 1). The test method shall meet the requirements of GB/T 528; the test result shall be calculated as per Formula (3) by removing the maximum value S9 and minimum value S12. 5.5 The bond strength and bond force between rubber base valve and tyre body 5.5.1 Bond strength between rubber base valve and tyre body Cut the sample of valve rubber base from the inner tube; separately make 1 specimen with width of 10.0mm±0.5mm symmetrically on both sides of the rubber base (as shown in Figure 2); cut a 10mm~15mm mouth between the specimen rubber base and the tyre body rubber; separately clamp the rubber base and the tyre into the upper and lower clampers; perform test as per GB/T 532; take the average value of the results obtained from the 2 specimens. If the rubber layer is torn off during the peeling period, then the bond strength at that time is greater than the tensile strength of the rubber; and is considered qualified; when indicating the result, it shall be explained. 5.6 Absolute value of the tensile strength change rate after aging of the Type-A inner tube Test conditions. aging temperature is at 90°C±1°C; aging time is 24h.

6 Sampling and Inspection Rules

6.1 Sampling For each specification of inner tube, if the output per week exceeds 10000 pieces, the monthly output shall be regarded as a batch; if the output per week does not exceed 10000 pieces, then each 20000 pieces shall be regarded as a batch; if the output within 6 months since the production date does not exceed 20000 pieces, then the output within 6 months since the production date shall be regarded as a batch. Take 1 inner tube from each batch to perform the test as per the requirements of 4.2~4.5. 6.2 Inspection The inner tube shall be sampled and inspected as per the provisions of 6.1. All the inner tubes that are delivered for exit-factory use must take the appearance quality inspection one by one;

7 Marking

7.1 Each inner tube shall have the following marks; thereof, a) ~ c) are permanent marks; d) is the impressions that can’t be washed off. ......
