This document replaces GB/T 4501-2016 "Laboratory test methods for truck and bus tyres capabilities". Compared with GB/T 4501-2016, in addition to the structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes in this document are as follows. - Change the scope of application (see Chapter 1 of this Edition, Chapter 1 of Edition 2016); - Delete the provisions on the maximum range of the barometer (see 4.3 of Edition 2016); - Delete the provisions on the appearance quality of test tyres (see 5.1.1.1, 5.2.1.1, 5.3.1.1 of Edition 2016); - Change the regulations for test rims (see 5.1.1.1, 5.2.1.1, 5.3.1.1 of this Edition, 5.1.1.2, 5.2.1.2, 5.3.1.2 of Edition 2016); - Change the durability test speed for snow tyres of medium-speed grade Q and above for light-duty truck tyres (see Table 3 of this Edition, Table 3 of Edition 2016); - Change the judgment rules for the durability test (see 6.1 of this Edition, 6.1 of Edition 2016); - Add the minimum destructive energy value for rim nominal diameter ≥ 15 and level 18 for miniature and light truck tyres and the minimum destructive energy value for rim nominal diameter ≤ 17.5 and level 18 for tubeless truck tyres (see Table 6 of this Edition); - Add speed symbol B and the corresponding speed (see Annex C of this Edition).
