1 Scope

This document provides guidelines for implementing a community early warning system for landslide hazards. This document applies to communities at risk of landslides. This document does not deal with secondary events of landslide hazards.

3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in ISO 22300 and the following apply to this document. 3.1 debris flow massmovement The movement of a substance such as soil, rock, mud, snow or a mixture along a slope under the action of gravity. 3.2 landslide Under the action of gravity, the geological body slides downward and outward along the geological weak surface.
