1 Scope

GB/T 3884 This section specifies the method for determination of iron content in copper concentrate. This section applies to the determination of iron content in copper concentrates. Measurement range of 8.00% - 40.00%.

2 Method summary

The sample was dissolved using hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, ammonia - ammonium chloride precipitation of iron and copper substrate separated in hydrochloric acid medium, large stannous chloride reduction Part of iron, the remaining small amount of iron by a sodium tungstate as an indicator of titanium trichloride reduction, added parathion mixed acid, sodium diphenylamine sulfonate as indicator, with a heavy Potassium chromate standard solution titration titration.

3 Reagents

Unless otherwise indicated in the analysis using only recognized as analytical grade reagents and distilled or deionized water or equivalent purity. 3.1 ammonium chloride. 3.2 hydrochloric acid (ρ = 1.19g/mL). 3.3 hydrochloride (11). 3.4 hydrochloride (15). 3.5 hydrochloric acid (595). 3.6 nitric acid (ρ = 1.42g/mL). 3.7 sulfate (ρ = 1.84g/mL). 3.8 perchloric acid (ρ = 1.53g/mL). 3.9 Hydrofluoric acid (ρ = 1.14g/mL). 3.10 phosphoric acid (ρ = 1.69g/mL). 3.11 sulfur nitrate mixed acid (73). A 30mL sulfuric acid (3.7) slowly injected 70mL of nitric acid (3.6) and continue stirring to mix. 3.12 parathion mixed acid. A 150mL sulfuric acid (3.7) slowly into 700mL of water and continue mixing, cooled to room temperature, 150mL phosphoric acid (3.10) and mix. 3.13 aqueous ammonia (ρ = 0.88g/mL). 3.14 ammonia bath. 10mL ammonia diluted with water (3.13) to 100mL. 3.15 stannous chloride solution (60g/L). Weigh 6g stannous chloride dissolved in 20mL hot hydrochloric acid (3.2), diluted with water to 100mL, Mix well. 3.16 titanium trichloride solution (114). Pipette solution of titanium trichloride 2mL 15% ~ 20% (m/V), diluted to 30mL with hydrochloric acid (3.4). The time is now equipped with. 3.17 copper sulphate solution (5g/L). Weigh 0.78g of copper sulfate pentahydrate dissolved in 100mL of water. 3.18 sodium tungstate solution (250g/L). Weigh 25g of sodium tungstate dissolved in an appropriate amount of water, adding 5mL phosphoric acid (3.10), dilute with water to 100mL.
