1 Scope

This standard specifies the classification, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs of the descending device. This standard applies to both automatic and manual descent devices for vertical use. This standard does not apply to building fire escape descent devices.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document. 3.1 Descending device descenderdevices A device that allows the user to land on the ground at a certain speed or assisted by others from a height.
