Bashbai sheep was selected from a Kazakh sheep by a man named Bashbai in 1919 and formed in a specific local environment. It is a fine variety of meat and fat type. It is mainly distributed in Yumin County, Tacheng District, Xinjiang.

4 Variety characteristics

4.1 Appearance features The size of the head is moderate, the white of the nose is slightly raised, the length of the ear is drooping, the ewe is more hornless, the rams are mostly angular, and each has four corners, and the corners are prismatic. The chest is wide and deep, the back is straight, the hindquarters are full and muscular, the fat tail is large, straight, round, fat extends to the waist and thigh, and the body The structure is well-proportioned and the limbs are strong and straight.
