This Part replaces GB/T 3654.2-1983 "Methods for chemical analysis of iron niobium neocuproine - chloroform extraction spectrophotometric determination of copper content." This portion of the GB/T 3654.2-1983 compared primarily with the following modifications. --- Sample volume was adjusted to 0.50g depending on the content of 0.50g and 1.00g, respectively; --- Increased from 10mL test solution dispensing adjusted depending on the amount of 25mL, 10mL and 5mL respectively; --- Increasing the standard solution 1mL containing 5.00μg copper. This part is proposed by the China Iron and Steel Association. This section is under the jurisdiction of Metallurgical Industry Information Standards Institute. This section is drafted. 1 Scope

This section provides the copper with a new spirit - spectrophotometric determination of niobium content of iron in copper chloroform extraction. This section applies to the determination of copper content of iron niobium. Measurement range (mass fraction). 0.0040% to 0.18%.
