1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms small motor environmentally conscious design, basic principles, design considerations, and documentation requirements. This standard is intended to provide guidance for the environmentally conscious design small motor design and development staff. This standard applies to 50Hz, 60Hz, or 50/60Hz, rated voltage 1000V and below, rated output power of 0.55kW ~ 370kW three-phase cage induction motors. Motors covered by this standard include electrical products supplied directly to end users, but also part of the equipment electrical products. For other structurally similar electrical products also refer to this standard. This standard does not apply to motors used in some special occasions, such as explosive atmosphere environment, aerospace uses, radiation-resistant uses.
