Static vacuum insulated cryogenic pressure vessels - Part 2.Materials1 ScopeThis Part of GB/T 18442 specifies the basic requirements for steel plates, forgings, pipes and fittings, insulation materials, adsorbent materials, welding materials, annular space support materials, and purchased parts materials used for static vacuum insulated cryogenic pressure vessels (hereinafter referred to as "cryogenic vessels"). This Part applies to cryogenic vessels, which simultaneously meet the following conditions. a) The working pressure of the inner vessel is not less than 0.1 MPa; b) The geometric volume is not less than 1 m3; c) The insulation method is vacuum powder insulation, vacuum composite insulation, or high vacuum multilayer insulation; d) The storage medium is a refrigerated liquefied gas with a standard boiling point of not lower than -196 °C. The content of the material quality certificate shall be complete, clear, printed with traceable informational identification, and stamped with the quality inspection seal of the material fabrication organization. 4.7 When the fabrication organization of cryogenic vessel obtains the materials for the tank and pipeline from the non-material fabrication organization, it shall obtain the original material quality certificate provided by the material fabrication organization; or obtain a copy affixed with the official seal of the material management organization and the signature (seal) of the person in charge.5 Tank material5.1 General 5.1.1 The material of the pressure component of tank shall meet the requirements of the corresponding material standards and design drawings. 5.1.2 The steel used for the pressure components of tank shall be killed steel smelted by oxygen converter or electric furnace. It shall adopt the refining process outside the furnace. 5.2 Steel plate 5.2.1 Steel plate for inner vessel 5.2.1.1 The steel plate for inner vessel generally be austenitic stainless steel plate and complies with GB/T 24511.The surface processing type of hot-rolled steel plate is not lower than grade 1D. The surface processing type of cold- rolled steel plate is not lower than grade 2B. 5.2.2 Steel plate for outer jacket 5.2.2.1 The steel plate shall have good weldability, sufficient strength and impact toughness. At the same time, it shall consider the corrosion of the external environment. When low-alloy steel plate is selected, it shall meet the requirements of GB/T 713 or GB/T 3531.When selecting austenitic stainless steel plate, it shall meet the requirements of GB/T 24511. 5.2.2.2 The mechanical property indexes of the commonly-used steel plate materials for the outer jacket are as specified in Table 2. 5.3 Steel forging 5.4 Pipes and fittings 5.4.1 The material for pipes shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 150.2 and the design drawings; and, shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 13296 or GB/T 14976. 5.4.2 Pipe fittings shall meet the requirements of the corresponding standards. When the pipe fittings are steel forgings, they shall comply with the provisions of 5.3. 5.5 Insulation material 5.5.1 Expanded perlite (pearl sand) shall meet the requirements of JC/T 1020. The water content is not more than 0.3% (mass fraction). 5.5.2 The light blocker shall have good chemical stability. 5.5.3 The high vacuum multilayer insulation material shall meet the requirements of GB/T 31480. 5.6 Adsorbent material 5.6.1 Molecular sieve 5A shall comply with the provisions of GB/T 13550. Molecular sieve 13X shall comply with the provisions of HG/T 2690. 5.6.2 Palladium oxide shall meet the requirements of YS/T 599.6 Welding material6.1 Welding materials shall meet the requirements of NB/T 47018.1~NB/T 47018.4; have clear and firm marks; be accompanied by quality certificates. 6.2 The selection of welding materials shall consider the matching of the mechanical properties of the welding joint and the base metal of the tank; shall comply with the provisions of TSG 21. 6.3 Welding materials shall, according to the requirements of NB/T 47014, be subjected to welding procedure qualification; and can be used only after passing the qualification.7 Support material for annular space7.1 When non-metallic materials are used as support elements, the following requirements shall be met. 7.2 When using metallic materials as support elements, the low-temperature performance requirements of the product shall be met. Moreover, the use temperature shall be within the allowable use temperature range of the material.
