1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and functions, general
requirements, functions of use, performance requirements, electrical safety, test methods,
inspection rules, marking and identification, installation and usage instructions, packaging,
transportation and storage of smart toilets.
This document is applicable to smart toilets installed on water supply and drainage pipelines in
various types of civil or public buildings.

3 Terms and Definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 9195 and GB/T 6952-2015, and the following are
applicable to this document.
3.1 smart toilet
A toilet that is controlled by an electromechanical system or program to complete one or more
functions including warm water cleaning function (buttocks cleaning function and female
washing function).
3.2 integral smart toilet
A smart toilet with an intelligent electromechanical control system that cannot be used
separately from the toilet.
3.3 split smart toilet
A smart toilet with an intelligent electromechanical control system that can be independently
separated from the toilet, and the smart toilet cover part can be used after being combined.
4 Classification and Functions
4.1 Classification
4.1.1 Classification by material
In accordance with the base material, they can be divided into ceramic smart toilets and non-
ceramic smart toilets.
4.1.2 Classification by heating mode
In accordance with the heating mode, they can be divided into.
4.1.3 Classification by structure
In accordance with the structure, they are divided into integral smart toilets and split smart
toilets (smart toilet cover).
5 General Requirements
5.1 Appearance Quality
5.1.1 Toilet part
5.1.2 Toilet cover part
The cover of the smart toilets shall comply with the following requirements.
5.2 Deformation
The maximum allowable deformation of the toilets shall comply with the stipulations of Table 1.
5.3 Sizes
5.4 Thickness
The thickness of the ceramic toilet body at any part shall not be less than 6 mm (excluding the
additional supporting body to prevent firing deformation).
5.5 Size of Sewage Outlet of Smart Toilets
5.6 Water Seal
5.7 Minimum Diameter of Trap
A solid ball with a diameter of 41 mm shall be able to pass the water channel of the trap of smart toilets.
5.8 Trap
Ceramic smart toilet products without an integral trap shall be equipped with a trap with a water
seal depth of not less than 50 mm.
5.9 Water Absorption Rate
The water absorption rate of ceramic toilets is E 0.5%, and the water absorption rate of
artificial stone toilets is E 0.5%.
5.10 Crack Resistance
Ceramic toilets shall have no glaze cracks or base cracks after being subjected to the crack
resistance test.
5.11 Load Resistance
After being subjected to the load resistance test, there shall be no deformation or any visible
structural damage. The loads endured by various types of products are as follows.
5.12 Test of Resistance to Household Chemicals
After being subjected to the test of resistance to household chemicals, non-ceramic toilets shall
have no obvious damage on the surface.
5.13 Combustion Resistance
After being subjected to the combustion resistance test, the non-ceramic toilet part shall
manifest no open flame or smoldering, and any form of damage shall not affect the use of the products.
5.14 Barcol Hardness
The Barcol hardness of the acrylic toilet part shall not be less than 40, and the Barcol hardness
of the artificial stone part shall not be less than 35.
5.15 Thermal Aging Resistance of Plastics
After being subjected to the test of thermal aging resistance of plastics, the surface of the plastic
part shall be free of fractures, cracks and obvious deformation, etc., and shall comply with the
requirements of 7.1.
5.16 Whole-machine Waterproof Level
The whole-machine waterproof level shall not be lower than IPX4.
5.17 Surface Corrosion Resistance Test
After the products are installed, the appearance of the coated and plated parts of the visible
surface shall not be lower than the requirements of appearance rating (RA) Level 9 in Table 1m of GB/T 6461-2002.
5.18 Smart Toilet Flushing Noise
In accordance with the stipulations of 9.2.18, determine the flushing noise of smart toilets.
When required, the manufacturer shall report the cumulative percentage sound level L10 and L50
of the flushing noise.
5.19 Supporting Requirements
5.19.1 The supporting external water pipes shall comply with the stipulations of GB/T 23448.
5.19.2 In addition to the swing test, the supporting seat and cover shall comply with the
stipulations of JC/T 764-2008.
6 Functions of Use
6.1 Toilet Functions
6.1.1 Toilet water consumption
The nominal water consumption of the toilets shall comply with the stipulations of Table 4.The
actual water consumption shall not be greater than the nominal water consumption. The average
half-flush water consumption of dual-flush smart toilets shall not be greater than 70% of the
maximum limit of full-flush water consumption.
6.1.2 Flushing function
The flushing function shall comply with the requirements of 6.2.2 in GB/T 6952-2015.
6.1.3 Connection airtightness
After the toilets are assembled with the flushing device and water inlet pipe in accordance with
the manufacturer's installation instructions, after being subjected to the connection airtightness
test, the connecting pipeline shall manifest no leakage.
6.1.4 Dredge machine test
When smart toilets without an integral water trap adopt an external water trap, before
performing the functional test, carry out a dredge machine test. Except for water overflow from
the drain outlet of the water trap, there shall be no leakage in other parts.
6.2 Cleaning Function
6.2.1 Nozzle extension and retraction time
The nozzle extension time shall not be greater than 8 s, and the nozzle retraction time shall not
be greater than 10 s.
6.2.4 Cleaning water flow
The cleaning water flow shall not be less than 200 mL/min.
6.2.5 Cleaning water consumption
For the water saving smart toilets, the cleaning water consumption shall not be greater than 500 mL.
6.2.6 Cleaning force
The maximum force value for buttock cleaning shall be above 0.06 N.
6.2.7 Cleaning area
The cleaning area shall be greater than 80 mm2.
6.3 Nozzle Self-cleaning Performance
After being subjected to the nozzle self-cleaning performance test, the 1/4 ink line at the front
of the nozzle shall be cleaned without any ink line residue.
6.4 Warm Air-Drying Performance
7 Performance Requirements
7.1 Water Pressure Resistance
After being subjected to the water pressure resistance test, the cleaning function of the smart
toilets shall be normal, and there shall be no leakage, deformation or other abnormal phenomena.
7.2 Water Impact Resistance
After being subjected to the water impact resistance test, there shall be no water impact
phenomenon that increases the pressure by more than 0.4 MPa.
7.3 Anti-siphon Function
7.4 Mechanical Strength
7.4.1 Seat strength
After being subjected to the seat strength test, the seat shall not have fractures, cracks, damage,
deformation, loss of function, performance degradation or wire damage.
7.4.2 Cover strength
After being subjected to the cover strength test, the cover shall not have features, cracks,
damage or deformation.
7.4.3 Installation strength
After being subjected to the installation strength test, the installation condition of the smart
toilet cover shall be normal, and there shall be no misalignment, widening of gaps, obvious
looseness or falling-off.
7.4.4 Swing test
After being subjected to the swing test, the smart toilets shall have no damage or cracks, and
the hinge shall be normal.
7.4.5 Impact test
After being subjected to the impact test, the smart toilets shall have no cracks, breakage,
deformation or wire damage.
7.5 Whole-machine Service Life
After 25,000 cycles of service life test, the various components of the smart toilets shall not
manifest features, cracks, damage, breakage or functional abnormalities.
8 Electrical Safety
8.1 Electrical Safety Performance
The electrical safety performance of the smart toilets shall comply with the requirements of GB 4706.1 and GB 4706.53.
8.2 Power Supply
8.2.1 When the smart toilets use AC power, the rated voltage is 220 V, and the rated frequency
is 50 Hz (except when there are special requirements). The smart toilets may also use DC power
at the same time.
8.2.3 For battery-powered smart toilets, the battery shall be placed in an independently sealed
battery box. The battery shall be easy to replace. After the battery has been replaced for more
than 3 times, the battery box shall not be damaged, and the screws shall not be overturned. After
the moisture resistance performance test, the metal parts in the battery box shall not be rusted.
8.2.4 There shall be leakage protection function. When the whole machine is short-circuited to
ground or the leakage to the human body is greater than 10 mA, the AC power supply plug shall
be automatically disconnected.
8.3 Moisture Resistance
After being subjected to the moisture resistance test, all functions of the smart toilets shall
normally operate.
9 Test Methods
9.1 Test Conditions
9.1.1 General requirements
When testing the functions of use and performance requirements, the products shall be installed
in the status of use for testing in accordance with the requirements of the instructions. When
testing the electrical performance, each component may be individually tested in accordance
with the demands of the test.
9.2 General Requirements
9.2.1 Appearance quality
The appearance quality test of the ceramic toilet part shall be carried out in accordance with the
method specified in 8.1 of GB/T 6952-2015.The appearance quality test of the non-ceramic
toilet part shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in 6.1 of JC/T 2116-
2012.The test of the toilet cover part shall be carried out by visual inspection.
9.2.4 Thickness
The thickness test of the ceramic toilet part shall be carried out in accordance with the method
specified in 8.3 of GB/T 6952-2015.
9.2.5 Sewage outlet size of smart toilets
In accordance with the method specified in 8.3 of GB/T 6952-2015, carry out the test.
9.2.6 Water seal
In accordance with the method specified in 8.3 of GB/T 6952-2015, carry out the test.
9.2.7 Minimum diameter of Trap
In accordance with the method specified in 8.3 of GB/T 6952-2015, carry out the test.
9.2.8 Trap
In accordance with the method specified in 8.3 of GB/T 6952-2015, carry out the test.
9.2.10 Crack resistance
The crack resistance test of the ceramic toilet part shall be carried out in accordance with the
method specified in 8.5 of GB/T 6952-2015.
9.2.11 Load resistance
The load resistance test of the ceramic toilet part shall be carried out in accordance with the
method specified in 8.7 of GB/T 6952-2015.The load resistance test of the non-ceramic toilet
part shall be carried out in accordance with the method specified in 6.7 of JC/T 2116-2012.
9.2.12 Test of resistance to household chemicals
The test of resistance to household chemicals of the non-ceramic toilet part shall be carried out
in accordance with the method specified in 6.9 of JC/T 2116-2012.
9.2.13 Combustion resistance
The combustion resistance test of the non-ceramic toilet part shall be carried out in accordance
with the method specified in 6.11 of JC/T 2116-2012.
9.2.14 Barcol hardness
9.2.18 Smart toilet flushing noise test
9.3 Test of Functions of Use
9.3.1 Toilet water consumption
In accordance with the method specified in 8.8 of GB/T 6952-2015, carry out the test.
9.3.2 Flushing function test
In accordance with the method specified in 8.8 of GB/T 6952-2015, carry out the test.
9.3.7 Water temperature stability test
9.3.8 Cleaning water flow
Select the maximum flow level for buttocks cleaning and female washing, use a timer and water
metering device to respectively measure the cleaning water flow of buttocks cleaning and
female washing for 1 minute, excluding the water flow for the self-cleaning of the spray gun.
For the buttocks cleaning and female washing, respectively measure for 3 times, and take the
arithmetic mean of the 6 times.
9.3.10 Cleaning force
Select the maximum cleaning mode for buttocks cleaning, set the temperature adjustment
device to the highest setting, and 30 seconds after the water starts to flow out, use a single-point
pressure test device with an accuracy of not lower than 0.01 N and a frequency of not lower
than 100 Hz as shown in Figure 3, or a device that can achieve the same test effect, to measure
the maximum cleaning force value within any 2 seconds. The pressure plate is circular, with an
area sufficient to bear the impact of all cleaning water, and the direct shall be perpendicular to
the direction of water impact.
9.3.12 Nozzle self-cleaning performance test
The nozzle self-cleaning performance test is carried out in accordance with the following steps.
