1 Application Scope
This Standard specifies the coding rules and marking requirements of freight
containers manufacturer’s serial number.
This Standard applies to the freight containers as specified by GB/T 1413; it may also
work as the reference for other types of freight containers and freight containers
auxiliaries.
NOTE The manufacturer’s serial number is the manufacturing number as well as the only
permanent identity code of the freight containers, which is used by the interested parties to
identify the identity information of the containers.
