This Standard replaced GB/T 2079-1987 Indexable Hardmetal (Carbide) Inserts
without Hole.
Compared with GB/T 2079-1987, this Standard mainly has the following changes.
--- Change the standard name into Indexable Hardmetal (Carbide) Inserts with
Rounded Corners, without Fixing Hole; Dimensions;
--- Delete the original Chapter 2, 3, 4;
--- Add Chapter 2 “Normative References”; Chapter 3 “Types of Insert”; Chapter
4 ”Interchangeability”; Chapter 5 “Designation and Marking”; and Chapter 6
“Measurement”;
--- Modify the original Chapter 1 “Model, Dimension and Allowable Deviation”; add
Chapter 7 “Recommended Dimension”;
--- Modify the schematic diagram; combine the original Table 1~6 into Table 1 and 2;
only remain the basic dimension; modify the normative tolerance into
recommended tolerance; cancel the dimension specification of the Second
Recommended Model SPUN150408;
