General technical requirements for steel book cabinets and
information cabinets
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules,
marking, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage for steel book
cabinets and information cabinets.
This Standard applies to steel book cabinets and information cabinets; it also applies,
as a reference, to the implementation of other steel cabinet furniture.
2 Normative references

5.8 Determination of mechanical properties
5.8.1 Strength and durability
Perform according to GB/T 10357.5-2011. Among them, the impact steel plate for the
strength test of the shelf support shall be the No. 2 plate specified in GB/T 10357.5-
2011.
5.8.2 Stability
Perform according to GB/T 10357.4-2013.
6 Inspection rules
6.1 Inspection classification
Inspection is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection.
6.2 Exit-factory inspection
6.2.1 Exit-factory inspection items
The exit-factory inspection items are 4.1 ~ 4.4, 4.6 and 4.7.
6.2.2 Sampling and batching rules
The exit-factory inspection shall be a one hundred percent inspection. Due to the large
batch, where it is difficult to carry out the one hundred percent inspection, a sampling
inspection shall be carried out. The sampling inspection method is based on the
provisions of GB/T 2828.1-2012, using normal inspection, one-time sampling plan,
general inspection level II, acceptance quality limit (AQL) 6.5; its sample size and
judgment value are carried out according to Table 8.
6.2.3 Evaluation of exit-factory inspection results
6.2.3.1 If the basic items of a single piece are qualified and the unqualified items of
general items are not more than 3, the product is qualified; otherwise, it is unqualified.
6.2.3.2 The evaluation of batch products shall be carried out according to the provisions
of Table 8.
6.3.5 Re-inspection rules
When there is any objection to the test results, take the sealed spare sample for re-
inspection. Inspect the items of objection, and indicate “re-inspection” in the inspection
results.
7 Marking, instruction for use, packaging, transportation and
storage
7.1 Marking
The product marking shall at least include the following:
a) product name, specification and model;
b) implementation standard number;
c) inspection certificate, production date;
d) manufacturer’s Chinese name and address.
7.2 Instructions for use
The preparation of product instruction for use shall comply with the provisions of GB
5296.6, and the content shall at least include:
a) product name, specification and model, implementation standard number,
production date;
b) overall dimensions, nominal thickness of steel plates of main components and
their deviations;
c) technical requirements and precautions for product installation and adjustment;
d) method of application and matters needing attention of the product.
7.3 Packaging
When required, the product shall be properly packaged to prevent product damage or
contamination.
7.4 Transportation
The product shall be protected by padding or packaging during transportation to prevent
product damage or sun and rain.
