1 Scope
This Standard specifies the main component requirements, technical requirements,
application scope, use methods, inspection methods, transportation, storage and
packaging, as well as marking, nameplates and instruction manual of sodium
hypochlorite generator.
This Standard is applicable to sodium hypochlorite generator that produce sodium
hypochlorite disinfectant.

3 Terms and Definitions
For the purpose of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 Sodium hypochlorite generator
A device that uses salt or industrial salt solution electrolysis to produce sodium
hypochlorite disinfectant.
3.2 Sodium hypochlorite disinfectant
A disinfectant with sodium hypochlorite as the main component, which is directly
produced by the sodium hypochlorite generator and does not contain any added
substances.
3.3 Available chlorine
The amount of chlorine equivalent to the oxidizing ability of chlorine-containing
disinfectants, which is a symbol of the oxidizing ability of chlorine-containing
disinfectants.
4 Main Component Requirements
4.1 Electrode requirements
Titanium, platinum, ruthenium, iridium and other metals and their coated electrodes
shall be used to prepare sodium hypochlorite disinfectant. Graphite electrodes and
lead dioxide electrodes shall not be used.
4.2 Display system
Instruments, switches, indicators, signs, etc. shall be installed firmly, reliably and safely.
The voltage, current, power, flow and other parameters shall be displayed on the
display screen.
5 Technical Requirements
5.1 Equipment requirements
5.1.1 It shall include some structures such as automatic salt melting, rectifying power
Disinfection (2002 Edition).
8.3 Flowrate
It shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 20621.
8.4 Inspection of lead, copper and cadmium content
It shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 5750.6.
8.5 Microbial killing effect
It shall be performed in accordance with the provisions of Technical Standard for
Disinfection (2002 Edition).
9 Transportation, Storage and Packaging
9.1 Transportation
There shall be measures such as sun protection and rain protection during
transportation; loading and unloading shall be avoided upside down; or storage and
transportation shall be performed according to the order contract.
9.2 Storage
The products shall be stored in a cool, dry place and a clean room with good ventilation.
9.3 Packaging
9.3.1 The package marking shall comply with the requirements of the relevant
specifications and standards of the label instructions of the disinfection product.
9.3.2 The graphic marking shall meet the requirements of GB/T 191.
10 Marking, Nameplate and Instruction Manual
10.1 Marking
10.1.1 Rated value, available chlorine content and range.
10.1.2 Mark the use scope and use method of the product in accordance with the
provisions of Clauses 6 and 7.
10.1.3 Safety protection requirements for production environment, use environment,
and disinfection operators.
