Foreword
NB/T 47018-2017 Technical Permission of Welding Materials for Pressure
Equipment can be divided into 5 Parts:
--- Part 1: General Rule;
--- Part 2: Electrodes for Steel;
--- Part 3: Steel Electrodes and Rods for Gas Shielded Arc Welding;
--- Part 4: Electrodes and Fluxes or Submerged Arc Welding;
--- Part 5: Stainless-Steel Strip Electrodes and Fluxes for Overlay Welding.
This Part is the Part 3 of NB/T 47018-2017.
This Part was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009 Directives for
Standardization – Part 1: Structure and Drafting of Standards.
This Part revised NB/T 47018.3-2011 Technical Permission of Welding Materials for
Pressure Equipment - Part 3: Steel Electrodes and Rods for Gas Shielded Arc Welding.
Compared with NB/T 47018.3-2011, the major technical changes of this Part are as
follows:
--- Add GB/T 25774.1, GB/T 29713, YB/T 5092, AWS A5.9 in the normative
references;
--- Add 33 welding wire codes, thereof, including 11 codes of welding wires for
carbon steels and low-alloy steels: ER50-3, ER50-G, ER60-G, ER49-A1, ER55-
B6, ER55-D2-Ti, ER55-D2, ER55-G, ER62-D2, ER60-G, ER62-G; and 22 codes
of welding wires for stainless steel: S308, S308H, S308L, S308LSi, S309, S309L,
S309LSi, S309Mo, S309LMo, S310, S316, S316H, S316L, S316LSi, S317,
S317L, S318, S321, S347, S410, S430, S2209;
--- Modify the sulfur and phosphorus contents of some original welding wires and
filler wires for low-alloy steels; and specify the sulfur and phosphorus contents
for the newly added models of welding wires;
--- Adjust the provisions of impact test of deposited metal of original model welding
wire and filler wire; supplement the provisions of impact test of newly added
welding wire and filler wire for low-alloy steels;
--- Add the provisions for tensile test of deposited metal of welding wire and filler
wire;
--- Allow the use of transverse bending specimens in the bending test; and add the
Technical Permission of Welding Materials for
Pressure Equipment Section 3: Steel Electrodes and
Rods for Gas Shielded Arc Welding
1 Scope
This Part of NB/T 47018-2017 specifies the technical requirements, the mechanical
properties and bending tests of the deposited metal, and product marking for the steel
welding wires and filler wires for gas shielded arc welding.
This Part is applicable to carbon steel welding wire and filler wire for gas shielded arc
welding, low alloy steel welding wire and filler wire, stainless steel welding wire and
filler wire for pressure equipment.
