Summary This standard specifies the method for evaluating the wear resistance of diesel engine oil under light-load and low-to-middle speed conditions for light-duty diesel engines. After the end of the test, the performance of the engine oil was determined by measuring the wear of the follower roller. This standard applies to the evaluation of API CG-4, CH-4, CI-4, CI-4(+), and CJ-4 diesel engine oils.
