1. General provisions
1.0.1 This national standard specifies nominal dimension, nominal pressure, material,
pressure-temperature rating, flange type, dimension, seal contact face, tolerance and marking
of larger diameter steel pipe flanges (Class designated).
1.0.2 This Standard is applicable to larger diameter weld neck steel pipe flanges and blind
flanges with nominal pressure of Classl50 (PN20)~Class900 (PN150). The nominal pressure
grade of the flange is denoted by Class, including the following four grades. Classl50,
Class300, Class600 and Class900.
1.0.3 This Standard includes A and B two dimensions series of larger diameter steel pipe
flange, and clear marking must be indicated when being adopted.
1.0.4 The applied nominal dimension DN and outside diameter of the steel pipe in this
Standard are in accordance with those specified in Table 1.0.4.

This standard applies to nominal Class150 (PN20) to ~ Class900 (PN150) large-diameter welded steel pipe flange with neck and flange cover. Nominal grade flange using Clas said, including the following four levels: Class150, Class300, Class600, Class900. This standard covers both A and B size series of large diameter steel pipe flanges, the choice must be clearly marked. This standard applies to the nominal size of the pipe and the pipe diameter DN requirements in Table 1. 0. 4. This standard also applies to the use of flange connection form as valves, pumps, chemical machinery, piping accessories and equipment components. This standard does not include special fluid conditions from material selection principles. | Standard ID | HG 20623-1997 (HG20623-1997) | Description (Translated English) | (Large-diameter steel pipe flanges (American System)) | Sector / Industry | Chemical Industry Industry Standard | Classification of Chinese Standard | J15 | Classification of International Standard | 23.040.60 | Word Count Estimation | 32,390 | Date of Issue | 1997/11/27 | Date of Implementation | 1998/2/1 | Older Standard (superseded by this standard) | HGJ 4476-1991 | Adopted Standard | ANSI B16.47B, MOD | Regulation (derived from) | Chemical Industry National Standard, Industry Standard and the International Standard Catalog 2006; Industry-Science [2009] No. 27 |
