Foreword
GB/T 9766 Test Method for Tyre Valves is divided into seven parts:
---Part 1: Test Method for Tube Clamp-in Valves;
---Part 2: Rubber Base Valves Test Methods;
---Part 3: Test Methods for Snap-in Valves;
---Part 4: Test Methods for Tubeless Clamp-in Valves;
---Part 5: Test Methods for Large Core Chamber Tyre Valves;
---Part 6: Test Method for Core;
---Part 7: Test Methods for Components.
This is Part 2 of GB/T 9766.
This Part was drafted in accordance with the rules provided in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This Part serves as a replacement of GB/T 9766.2-2008 Test Method for Tyre Valves - Part 2:
Rubber Base Valves Test Methods. In comparison with GB/T 9766.2-2008, the main technical
changes are as follows:
---The accuracy grade of the pressure gauge is modified (see 4.3; 4.3 of Version 2008);
---The sealing performance test of Type AA05C ~ AA09C and Type DB04C ~ DB06C
valves is added (see Chapter 5);
---The adhesion strength test of rubber to metal of Type AA05C ~ AA09C and DB04C ~
DB06C valves is added (see 6.1.2);
---Figure 5 and Figure 6 are added (see 6.2);
---The test procedures of the adhesion strength test of rubber to metal of Type CG01 ~
CG06, DG04 ~ DG09, CG08 ~ CG13, DG10 ~ DG15, CG01C ~ CG12C, DG01C ~
DG11C, EG01C ~ EG08C, CG07, DG03, DG12C, CJ06 and ZG01 valves are modified
(see 6.2.1; 6.2.1 of Version 2008).
This Part was proposed by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation.
This Part shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee 19 on Tyres and Rims
of Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 19).

Test Method for Tyre Valves - Part 2: Rubber Base Valves
Test Methods
1 Scope
This Part of GB/T 9766 specifies the terms and definitions, test equipment, instruments and
apparatuses of the rubber base valves (hereinafter referred to as “valves”) test, as well as sealing
performance test, adhesion strength test of rubber to metal, determination of adhesion rate and
measurement of edge thickness of rubber seat.
This Part is applicable to the valve test of inner tubes of industrial vehicles, agricultural vehicles,
construction machinery, motorcycles, electric vehicles and rickshaws, etc.
This Part is not applicable to the test of aviation tyre valves.
2 Normative References
The following documents are indispensable to the application of this document. In terms of
references with a specified date, only versions with a specified date are applicable to this
document. In terms of references without a specified date, the latest version (including all the
modifications) is applicable to this document.

4 Test Equipment, Instruments and Apparatuses
4.1 Tensile testing machine: with a load of 0 N ~ 2,000 N and the relative change of the
indicating value of 1%.
4.2 High-temperature test chamber: the temperature in the chamber can reach above 200 C and
the temperature fluctuation is  2 C.
