3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in QC/T 1119 and the following ones apply to
this document.
3.1
Transmittance
The ratio of the radiant flux transmitted through the safety glazing material to
the incident radiant flux under specific geometric and spectral conditions.
4 Environmental conditions
Unless otherwise specified, the test shall be conducted under the following
environmental conditions:
a) Ambient temperature: 20 °C±5 °C;
b) Atmospheric pressure: 8.60×104 Pa~1.06×105 Pa;
c) Relative humidity: 30%~60%.
5 Test apparatus
A spectrophotometer with integrating sphere. The range wavelength shall
include at least 300 nm~2500 nm.
6 Sample
Flat test pieces; or it is possible to cut the flattest part of curved products.
7 Test procedure
According to requirements of the equipment manufacturer, calibrate the
instrument. PUT in a clean sample. The sample is perpendicular to the incident
beam. A single piece of glass can be directly tested as a sample. Insulating
glass sample shall be split into single pieces for testing. During the test, the
sample shall be kept clean. If applicable, it shall mark the direction of the film
surface or curved surface of the sample; record the spectral transmittance and
spectral reflectance values of the sample.
8 Data processing
8.1 The solar ultraviolet transmittance TUV(380) is calculated according to
formula (1).
