This document replaces GB 4706.61-2008 "Safety of household and similar electrical appliances for cleaning surfaces using liquids or steam"
Compared with GB 4706.61-2008, in addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
--- Added normal working instructions for steam cleaning appliances used to clean horizontal surfaces (see 3.1.9);
--- Increased the division of the structure of the equipment and carried out different tests separately (see 20.101);
--- Changed the hardwood floor required for "hand-held appliances and hand-held parts of appliances with electrical components" to cement floor (see 21.1,
21.1 of the.2008 edition);
--- Deleted the requirement that the pressure in the structural test is 3 times the test measurement value in Chapter 11 (see 22.7 of the.2008 edition);
--- Added requirements for steam stop conditions for steam cleaning appliances specifically used for floor cleaning in the pressure appliance test (see
22.102).
This document is equivalent to IEC 60335-2-54.2019 "Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety - Part 2-54.Electrical appliances for use with liquids or vapors"

The structure of IEC 60335 is divided into several parts, consisting of general requirements and special requirements. Part 1 is general requirements, and the other parts are
For products covered by special requirements, their safety requirements are general requirements used in combination with the special requirements.
The requirements include supplements and modifications to the corresponding clauses in the general requirements to provide complete requirements for each product.
This document is the protection requirements for electrical, mechanical, thermal, fire and radiation risks when the appliance is used normally in accordance with the instructions.
This document also covers abnormal conditions that may occur during use and considers how electromagnetic interference may affect the safe operation of the equipment.
This document has taken into account the requirements specified in GB/T 16895 "Low Voltage Electrical Installations". The appliance is connected to the power supply in accordance with the electrical wiring rules.
requirements are coordinated.
If multiple functions of an appliance involve other parts of GB/T 4706, the other parts shall apply to the appliance separately as long as it is reasonable.
Each function. If applicable, consider the impact of one function on other functions.
When no additional requirements are given in other parts for hazards already included in this document, GB/T 4706.1 applies.

NOTE. use an automatic off switch is considered to be satisfactory.
21 Mechanical strength
GB 4706.1-2005 in this chapter except as follows, are applicable.
21.1 increase.
For hand-held instrument, which in the most unfavorable position falls from 2m height onto a hardwood floor, to determine their eligibility.
Three tests.
For the user's body carry the appliance, which in the most unfavorable position fall to a concrete floor from a height of 1m, to determine their eligibility.
Three tests.
21.101 carrier should be resistant to the tube squeezing.
By the following test to determine whether it is acceptable.
The tube is placed between two parallel steel plates. Each plate length 100mm, width 50mm, the longitudinal edges have a radius of 1mm
Fillet. Steel tube axis at right angles to the long sides. Plate placed at the end of the hose from about 350mm.
The steel sheet at a rate of (50 ± 5) mm/min pressed together, until the pressure reaches 1.5 kN, and then the force is released off. Hose
It is placed in an aqueous solution of 1% NaCl, and the wires connected to the saline solution between the electric strength test of 16.3 together.
21.102 carrier should be resistant to wear hose.
By the following test to determine whether it is acceptable.
The end of the hose is fixed to the crank mechanism 101 shown in FIG connecting rod to a crank rotation speed 30r/min rotation of the hose the other
One end of the horizontal movement back and forth, the moving distance of more than 300mm.
In millimeters
A --- crank mechanism;
B --- link;
C --- wheel;
D --- grinding belt.
Flow tube 101 carrying wear test apparatus of FIG.
The hose with a smooth rotation of the roller support, is attached at the outer edge with an emery roller, moving at a speed of 0.1m/min of.
The abrasive is silicon carbide emery cloth, grain size in accordance with ISO 6344-2 is P100. The other end of the hose with a mass of suspension 1kg
Weights as a guide to prevent rotation of the hose. At the lowest position, the maximum distance from the weight of the wheel center is 600mm.
Test was carried out to crank 100 weeks.
After the test, the insulation should not substantially exposed, the hose is immersed in an aqueous solution of 1% NaCl, performed between the charging member and brine solution
Electric strength test of 16.3.
21.103 hose carrier should be resistant to bending.
By the following test to determine whether it is acceptable.
The pivot arm is connected to the end of the hose intended motorized cleaning head 102 shown in FIG fixing test device, pivot the arm shaft and extending into the hose
The distance between the rigid member is at (300 ± 5) mm, the horizontal position of the pivot arm is raised from 40 ° ± 1 °. The quality of a suspension of 5kg weights
At the other end of the hose, the hose at a convenient or along a suspension, such that when the pivot arm is in a horizontal position, the weight of the hose is not supported
Stretch.
Note 1. The test may need to reposition weight.
The maximum weight that the hose along the inclined surface of a slide-tilt 3 °. By rotation of the crank (10 ± 1) r/min speed, and the pivot lift arm
fall.
Test was carried out to crank 1250 weeks, and then rotated by 90 ° fixed end of the hose, the test was continued for 1,250 weeks. In the other two
A 90 ° position of the above experiment was repeated.
Note 2. If the hose rupture before the cranking 5,000 weeks, the end of the bending test.
After the test, the hose should be able to withstand the electric strength test of 16.3.
Raised position lowered position of the crank the crank
A --- crank mechanism;
B --- manipulator;
C --- inclined surface.
FIG bending resistance of the tube test apparatus 102 carriers
21.104 carrier should be resistant to twist the hose.
By the following test to determine whether it is acceptable.
The end of the hose is fixed in a horizontal position, and the other end of the hose freely suspended. The end of the periodic rotation, each packet cycle
Including a direction rotated five times, five times again rotating in opposite directions, the rotation speed is 10r/min.
1000 test cycles.
After the test, the hose should not comply with the damaged portion sense, and can withstand the electric strength test of 16.3.
21.105 carrier should be resistant to cryogenic hose.
Determine whether it qualified by the following test.
The 600mm long hose 103 is bent into shape, and the ends tied 25mm. The tube is placed in a temperature
(15 ± 2) in the cabinet ℃ 2h. Bent immediately after removal from the cabinet 3, as shown in FIG. 104, the bending frequency of 1/s.
The above test was repeated three times.
There should be no cracks or breakage on the hose, and should be able to withstand the electric strength test of 16.3.
Note. Any discoloration can be ignored.
FIG cold resistance test Shape 103
Centre position
Bending each tube position at the end and beginning
Bending position freezer extraction pipe 104 of FIG.
22 Construction
GB 4706.1-2005 in this chapter except as follows, are applicable.
22.6 increase.
Drainage hole diameter of at least 5mm, or the minimum width of 3mm, the cross-sectional area of at least 20mm2.
22.7 Replacement.
Pressure equipment shall have sufficient protection against the risk of overpressure.
If a liquid or steam is sprayed through the protective means, should not affect the electrical insulation, or exposing the user to danger.
Compliance is checked by inspection and the fo......
