document.
4 General requirements
4.1 The vehicle manufacturer or its authorized agent shall submit a vehicle
representing the tested model to the inspection agency, and at the same time
provide information on the functions and usage methods of the air conditioning
system used by the vehicle. For models that are equipped with automatic and
manual air conditioners, vehicles of automatic air conditioner shall be selected
for testing; for other different configurations, representative vehicles shall be
selected according to the principle of maximum air-conditioning energy
consumption, and at least the following factors shall be considered:
-- compressor type;
-- glass transmittance;
-- car body color.
4.2 The tested vehicle shall comply with the requirements of fuel consumption
limits specified in GB 19578 and requirements on pollutant emission in GB
18352.6-2016 (or other applicable versions).
4.3 Carry out the test in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 5 and
Chapter 6; record the parameters and test data of the test vehicle according to
the provisions of Appendix A. Calculate the fuel consumption and target value
of the air conditioner according to the requirements of 7.1 and 7.2; express the
calculation results in liters per 100 kilometers (L/100 km); round (round up) to
three decimal places. Calculate the energy saving effects according to the
requirements of 7.3; express the calculation results in liters per 100 kilometers
(L/100 km); round (round up) to two decimal places.
5 Test conditions
5.1 Laboratory and test equipment
The technical characteristics of the laboratory and test equipment shall comply
with the provisions of B.2.1 in GB/T 19233-2020; for non off-vehicle chargeable
hybrid electric vehicles (NOVC-HEV), the technical characteristics of the test
equipment shall also comply with the provisions of 4.2.2 in GB/T 19753-2021.
5.2 Test fuel
5.5.4 For vehicles with middle-row and back-row air outlet, close the middle-
row and back-row air outlet and the air outlet control switch (if any). Set the
opening of the front air outlet to the maximum; set the direction of the air outlet
according to the requirements of the vehicle manufacturer.
6 Test procedures
6.1 Test preparation
6.1.1 Set the ambient temperature and humidity according to the requirements
of 5.3.1 and 5.3.2.
6.1.2 Place the vehicle and connect the exhaust sampling system and other
test equipment; confirm that there is no leakage in the fuel line and that the
exhaust is sufficient.
6.1.3 Set the chassis dynamometer according to the requirements of 6.2 in
GB/T 19233-2020.
6.2 Test cycle
Perform the test in accordance with the China light-duty vehicle test cycle-
passenger (CLTC-P) that is specified in 4.3 of GB/T 19233-2020.
6.3 Determination of vehicle fuel consumption under the condition of
turning on the air conditioner (FCON)
6.3.1 Open all the windows; put the air circulation switch of the automotive air
conditioner to the outer circulation position; put the air volume adjustment
switch to the middle position (round up to the high-end position). During this
process, the compressor shall always be turned off.
6.3.2 The vehicle is driven at a constant speed of (90±2) km/h for 20 min; for
NOVC-HEV, pretreatment shall be carried out according to C.3.2 in GB/T
19753-2021.
6.3.3 Close the vehicle power system and all windows. After setting the solar
radiation intensity according to 5.3.3, let the vehicle stand for 30 min.
6.3.4 After turning on and setting the automotive air conditioner according to
the requirements of 5.5, immediately carry out the test according to the
requirements of 6.4 ~ 6.5 in GB/T 19233-2020, and calculate the test results
according to 7.1 ~ 7.4 in GB/T 19233-2020; for NOVC-HEV, after turning on
and setting the automotive air conditioner according to the requirements of 5.5,
immediately carry out the test according to the requirements of 6.1 and 6.4 of
GB/T 19753-2021, and calculate the test results according to 7.2 of GB/T
19753-2021.
6.3.5 During the test, record the temperature change of the temperature
measurement point required in 5.4.2 continuously in real time at an acquisition
frequency of not less than 1 Hz. When the test is carried out for 15 minutes, the
average temperature of all temperature measurement points shall not be
greater than 23 °C, otherwise, terminate the test, and carry out the test again
in the order of 6.1 ~ 6.5 after resetting according to 5.5. During the time from
the test is carried out for 15 minutes to the end of the test, the cumulative
duration of the average temperature of all temperature measurement points
above 23 °C shall not exceed 10 s, otherwise, the test shall be invalid and
carried out again in the order of 6.1 ~ 6.5 after resetting according to 5.5.
6.4 Determination of vehicle fuel consumption under the condition of
turning off the air conditioner (FCOFF)
6.4.1 Turn off solar radiation. Perform the operation according to 6.3.1, 6.3.2.
6.4.2 After turning off the automotive air conditioner and all windows,
immediately carry out the test according to the requirements of 6.4 ~ 6.5 in GB/T
19233-2020, and calculate the test results according to 7.1 ~ 7.4 in GB/T 19233-
2020; for NOVC-HEV, after turning off the automotive air conditioner and all
windows, immediately carry out the test in accordance with the requirements of
6.1 and 6.4 in GB/T 19753-2021, and calculate the test results in accordance
with 7.2 in GB/T 19753-2021.
6.5 Repeatability inspection
In accordance with the requirements of B.3.5 in GB/T 19233-2020, perform the
repeatability inspection of the test results, with the air conditioner turned on and
off respectively.
7 Test results
7.1 Fuel consumption of the automobile air conditioner
Calculate the fuel consumption of the air conditioner of this model according to
Formula (1):
Where:
FCAC – the fuel consumption of the automobile air conditioner, in liters per 100
kilometers (L/100 km);
FCON – the fuel consumption under the condition that the air conditioner of the
vehicle is turned on, in liters per 100 kilometers (L/100 km);
