5.4.1 The wire rod shall be tested for hardness or tensile strength. The specific
requirements shall be determined by both parties.
5.4.2 The mechanical properties of the cold drawn (pull) wire that is treated by
the heat treatment system which is recommended in Table 6 shall comply with
the requirements of Table 6.
5.5 Surface quality
5.5.1 The surface of the wire rod shall be smooth, free from cracks, scars,
flashing edges, heavy skin, tensile marks, burrs, scratches; pits and scratches
that do not exceed half of the dimensional tolerances are allowed to exist.
5.5.2 The cold drawn surface is not allowed to have defects that are harmful to
use such as scabs, folds, cracks, burrs, pits, scratches and scales; however, it
is allowed to have pits and scratches whose depth do not exceed half the
dimensional tolerance.
5.6 Special requirements.
According to the requirements of the buyer, if it is negotiated between the
supplier and the buyer, and specified in the contract, the alloy materials of the
following special requirements can be supplied:
a) test low-magnification organization;
b) ultrasonic testing;
c) test the grain size;
d) test intergranular corrosion;
e) test high-temperature stretching;
f) test process performance such as torsion;
g) others.

7 Test rules
7.1 Inspection and acceptance
The inspection and acceptance of alloy materials shall be carried out by the
supplier's quality and technical supervision department. The buyer is entitled to
inspect and accept the alloy material in accordance with the provisions of this
Standard.
7.2 Batch rules
Alloy materials shall be submitted for inspection and acceptance in batches.
Each batch shall consist of alloy materials of the same designation, the same
heat number, the same specification, the same delivery state and the same heat
treatment number.
7.3 Sampling portion and sampling quantity
The sampling portion and sampling quantity of the alloy materials shall comply
with the requirements of Table 7.
7.4 Re-inspection and determination rules
7.4.1 When the result of chemical composition analysis is unqualified, it is
allowed to re-sample to analyze the unqualified elements; if the re-inspection
result is still unqualified, the furnace is judged as unqualified.
7.4.2 When the mechanical properties, hardness, grain size and torsion test
results are unqualified, it is allowed to take double-quantity samples from the
batch of alloy materials (including the first-time unqualified alloy materials) for
re-inspection. If the result of the retest is still unqualified, the batch is judged as
unqualified.
7.4.3 When the dimensions and shape are unqualified, the single disc (volume)
is judged as unqualified.
7.4.4 When the surface quality is defective, it is allowed to be cut and re-
distributed.
8 Packaging, marking and quality certificate
8.1 The packaging and marking of alloy materials shall comply with the
