Waste submersible motor-pumps
1 Scope
This standard specifies the type, model, basic parameters, technical
requirements, test methods, inspection rules and markings, packaging, storage
and transportation of waste submersible motor-pumps.
This standard is applicable to single-phase or three-phase waste submersible
motor-pumps (hereinafter referred to as "motor-pumps") that transport various
types of waste or mixed liquids containing insoluble solid phase materials such
as sediment, fiber, manure, river mud.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard
through reference in this Standard. For the dated references, the subsequent
amendments (excluding corrections) or revisions do not apply to this Standard;
however, parties who reach an agreement based on this Standard are
encouraged to study if the latest versions of these documents are applicable.

3 Type, model, basic parameters
3.1 Type
3.1.1 The motor-pump is a single-stage or multi-stage vertical type. The pump
is coaxial with the motor.
3.1.2 Motor-pump is divided as follows according to the structure of the impeller:
a) Spiral-flow type impeller;
b) Semi-open vane impeller;
c) Closed vane impeller;
d) Single or double flow impeller;
e) Spiral centrifugal impeller;
f) Mixed flow impeller;
g) Axial flow impeller.
3.1.3 Motor-pump’s type features are indicated by uppercase Chinese phonetic
alphabet:
X - Spiral-flow type;
H - Mixed flow type;
Z - Axial flow type;
The impeller structure is not marked in case of flow path type, spiral centrifugal
type, closed type, semi-open type.
3.1.4 The characteristics of the motor-pump’s motor are indicated by uppercase
Chinese phonetic alphabet:
S - Water-filled;
Y - Oil-filled;
D - Single-phase;
G - High voltage (660V and three-phase dry motor and below are not
marked).
3.1.5 The IP code of the motor-pump’s housing is IPX8 as specified in GB/T
4942.1-2006. The IP code of special requirements is to be determined by the
requirements. The maximum diameter of the passing particles shall be not less
than 0.75 times of the single-stage motor-pump for the level 2; it shall be not
less than 0.5 times of the single-stage motor-pump for the level 3 and above.
3.3.3 When the flow parameters of the motor-pump do not meet the
requirements of Table 1, the efficiency of the motor-pump is determined
according to the provisions of Appendix A; meanwhile the actual value shall not
be lower than the determined value.
3.3.4 When the motor-pump has a cutting mechanism, the efficiency of the
motor-pump is [(the value specified in Table 1 or according to the value as
determined in Appendix A) - 4%].
3.3.5 For oil-filled motor-pumps, the efficiency of the motor-pump is [(the value
as specified in Table 1, Table 2 or the value determined in Appendix A) - 5%];
for the water-filled motor-pump, the efficiency of the pump is [(the value as
specified in Table 1, Table 2 or the value determined in Appendix A) - 3%].
3.3.6 Table 2 specifies the basic parameters of the axial flow or mixed flow
motor-pump which has a blade placement angle of 0°. For the modified
products of other angles, the basic parameters shall meet the requirements
determined by the supplier and purchaser or the contract, but the efficiency of
motor-pump shall not be less than [(the value as specified in Table 2 or as
determined in Appendix A) - 5%].
3.3.7 The discharge diameter of the motor-pump as listed in Tables 1 and 2 is
the recommended value; the discharge diameter may also be determined
according to requirements or according to the contract.
3.3.8 When the synchronous speed of the motor-pump does not match Tables
1 and 2, it may be increased or decreased according to needs or according to
the contract, but the efficiency of the motor-pump shall not be lower than the
provisions of this standard.
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Motor-pumps shall comply with the requirements of this standard and be
manufactured in accordance with the drawings and technical documents
approved by the prescribed procedures.
4.2 The motor-pump shall be able to operate continuously under the following
conditions of use:
a) With the center of the impeller as reference, the submerged depth is not
more than 5 m;
4.7 When the insulation resistance of the stator winding of the motor-pump’s
motor is cold state, it shall not be less than 50 MΩ for voltages of 660 V and
below; it shall be not less than 100 MΩ for voltages above 660 V.
4.8 When the insulation resistance of the stator winding of the motor-pump
motor is in the hot state, the voltage shall be no less than 1 MΩ for the voltage
of 660 V and below; it shall not be lower than the value obtained by formula (3)
for the voltage above 660 V:

R - The insulation resistance of winding, in megaohms (MΩ);
U - The rated voltage of the winding, in volts (V);
P - The rated power, in kilowatts (kW).
4.9 The stator winding of the motor-pump’s motor shall be able to withstand the
withstanding voltage test for 1 min without breakdown. The frequency of the
test voltage is 50 Hz, meanwhile it shall be in the sinusoidal waveform as far as
possible. The effective value of the test voltage is twice the rated voltage plus
1000 V. When a mass and continuously produced motor-pumps are subjected
to an inspection test, it allows to use the test of 120% of the test voltage for a
duration of 1 s to substitute it. The test voltage is applied by a test bar. The
flushing motor-pump shall be immersed in clean water at normal temperature
for 12 hours before the test.
This test shall not be repeated for the same motor. If requested by the user, it
is allowed to carry out another rated test on the construction site before starting
operation after installation. The test voltage shall not exceed 80% of the above
specified. If necessary, the motor shall be dried before the test.
4.10 The stator winding of the motor-pump’s motor shall withstand the inter-turn
impulse withstanding voltage test without breakdown. When carrying out the
inter-turn impulse withstand voltage test, for a motor which has a voltage of 660
V or less, the test impulse voltage peak is 2000 V for single phase, 2300 V for
three-phase power of 3 kW and below, 2600 V for power of 3 kW and above;
for the voltage above 660 V, the peak value of the impulse voltage of coil test
shall meet the requirements of JB/Z 293.
4.11 When the three-phase power supply is balanced, the deviation of any one
of the three-phase no-load currents of the motor-pump’s motor from the
average value of the three phases shall not exceed 10% of the average value.
4.13.5 The safety requirements of motor-pumps shall comply with the
provisions of GB 10395.8.
4.13.6 The safety marking of the motor-pump shall comply with the provisions
of GB 10396.
4.14 Parts of the motor-pump that are subjected to working pressure shall be
subjected to a hydraulic/pneumatic test without leakage. The test pressure is
1.5 times the working pressure, but the minimum shall not be less than 0.2 MPa,
for a duration of 3 minutes.
4.15 After the motor-pump is assembled, the inner cavity of the motor shall be
able to withstand the pneumatic test of 0.2 MPa for 3 min without leakage. The
sealing device shall be able to withstand the pneumatic test of 0.2 MPa for 3
min without leakage. For the water-filled type, the pressure is 0.05 MPa.
4.16 The motor-pump shall have reliable anti-corrosion measures. The surface
