Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and the
energy efficiency grades for cage three-phase high voltage
induction motor
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the energy efficiency grade, minimum allowable values of
energy efficiency, energy saving evaluation value and test method of large and medium-
sized cage three-phase high voltage induction motors (hereinafter referred to as electric
motors).
This Standard is applicable to continuous duty (S1) vertical and horizontal motors and
flameproof motors with 50 Hz three-phase AC power supply, of which, it is 6kV voltage
level (cooling method IC01, IC11, IC21, IC31, IC81W) when rated power is 220kW ~
25000kW; 10kV voltage level (cooling method IC01, IC11, IC21, IC31, IC81W) when
rated power is 220kW ~ 22400kW; 6kV voltage level (cooling method IC611, IC616,
IC511, IC516) when rated power is 185kW~2500kW; 6kV voltage level (cooling
method IC411) when rated power is 160kW~1600kW; the number of poles is 2~12
poles.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors
under the test conditions specified in the standard, the minimum standard value of the
allowable motor efficiency
3.2 evaluating values of energy conservation for motors
under the test conditions specified in the standard, the minimum standard value of the
motor efficiency that meets the requirements of energy-saving certification
4 Technical requirements
4.1 Basic requirements
The product performance, safety performance, explosion-proof performance, noise and
vibration requirements of the motor shall comply with relevant standards such as GB
755-2008, GB 10068-2008, and GB 10069.3-2008 respectively.
4.2 Energy efficiency grades of motors
The energy efficiency grade of motors is divided into 3 grades, of which grade 1 is the
most efficient. The efficiency of motors of all grades under rated output power shall not
be lower than those specified in Table 1, Table 2, Table 3 and Table 4. The tolerance
shall comply with the provisions of Chapter 12 of GB 755-2008.
For motors with rated power values not listed in the table, their efficiency shall be
determined by linear interpolation.
4.3 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors
The minimum allowable values of energy efficiency for motors under the rated output
power shall not be lower than the provisions of grade 3 in Table 1, Table 2, Table 3 and
Table 4.
4.4 Evaluating values of energy conservation for motors
The evaluating values of energy conservation for motors under the rated output power
shall not be lower than the provisions of grade 2 in Table 1, Table 2, Table 3 and Table
4.
