Foreword
Chapter 5 of this standard is mandatory; the rest are recommended.
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 22030-2015 “Blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for
motor vehicles”.
Compared with GB/T 22030-2015, the main technical changes of this standard
are as follows.
- In the second paragraph of Chapter 1 Scope, MODIFY that “This standard
applies to the blendstocks of ethanol gasoline (E10) for motor vehicles
complying with GB 18351 which are composed of liquid hydrocarbons or
liquid hydrocarbons and additives that improve the performance of use” into
that “This standard applies to the blendstocks of ethanol gasoline (E10) for
motor vehicles complying with GB 18351 which are composed of liquid
hydrocarbons derived from petroleum or liquid hydrocarbons and additives
derived from petroleum that improve the performance of use” (SEE Chapter
1; Chapter 1 of 2015 version);
- DELETE the technical requirements and test methods for blendstocks of
ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (IV) (Table 1 in 2015 version), ADD the
technical requirements for blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor
vehicles (IV) at phase VI vehicle, it is divided into phase VI A and phase VI
B based on the difference in olefin content (SEE Table 2, Table 3);
- DELETE the technical requirements for quantitative determination of
mercaptan sulfur (SEE Table 2 and Table A.1 of the 2015 version);
- MODIFY the technical requirements for density (SEE Table 1 and Table A.1;
Table 2 and Table A.1 of 2015 version);
- MODIFY Chapter 9 “Implementation of standards” (SEE Chapter 9; Chapter
9 of the 2015 version);
- ADD Table A.2 in Appendix A (SEE Table A.2 in Appendix A).

This standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization
Technical Committee for Petroleum Products and Lubricants (SAC/TC 280).

Blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles

1 Scope
This standard stipulates the terms and definitions, product classification and
nomenclature, requirements and test methods, sampling, marking, packaging,
transportation and storage, safety and implementation of standards for the
blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles.
This standard applies to the blendstocks of ethanol gasoline (E10) for motor
vehicles complying with GB 18351 which are composed of liquid hydrocarbons
derived from petroleum or liquid hydrocarbons and additives derived from
petroleum that improve the performance of use.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Antiknock index
conducted in accordance with SH/T 0164, GB 30000.7-2013 and GB 190.
7.2 The markings for the blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles
shall contain product designation and grade (V, VI A and VI B), for example.
“No.89 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (V)”, “No.92
blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (VI A)”, and “No.95
blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (VI B)”.
7.3 Blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles meeting this standard
require the entire system to be clean and free of water during storage and
transport. The monitoring of water content needs to pay enough attention.
8 Safety
In accordance with GB 30000.7-2013, blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor
vehicles are flammable liquids. Refer to Appendix D of GB 30000.7-2013 for
hazard indications and precautions.
9 Standard implementation
This standard shall be implemented as of the date of promulgation, and the
transitional requirements shall be introduced gradually. The transitional period
of the technical requirements specified in Table 2 and Table A.2 are to
December 31, 2018. From January 1, 2019, the technical requirements
specified in Table 1 and Table A.1 are abolished; the transitional period for the
technical requirements specified in Table 3 are to December 21, 2022; from
January 1, 2023, the technical requirements specified in Table 2 will be
abolished.
Taking into account the special needs of environmental protection in certain
regions in China, local governments may, in accordance with their requirements
for environmental protection management, agree with the relevant oil supply
department, and implement the technical requirements for the blendstocks of
ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles of corresponding phases in advance.

Foreword
This Standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T
1.1-2009.
This Standard replaces GB/T 22030-2013 Blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for
motor vehicles.
Compared with GB/T 22030-2013, the main technical differences in this
Standard are as follows.
- modified sub-clause 5.1 to. the additives used in blendstocks of ethanol
gasoline for motor vehicles shall be used without any known adverse
effects and shall be used in the recommended amount. The blendstocks
of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles shall not contain any additives and
contaminants that can cause the vehicle to function improperly. The
blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles must not be manually
added with methylal, aniline, halogen and phosphorus, silicon or other
compounds (see 5.1);
- added sub-clause 5.3. see Table 2 for technical requirements and test
methods for No. 89, No. 92 and No. 95 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline
for motor vehicles (V). When an enterprise is able to produce and sell No.
98 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (V), its technical
requirements and test method shall comply with Annex A (see 5.3);
- added Table 2 “Technical requirements and test methods for blendstocks
of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles (V)” (see Table 2);
- added Clause 9 The implementation of standard (see Clause 9);
- added normative Annex A “Technical requirements and test methods for
No. 98 blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles” (see Annex A).
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of National Technical Committee
on Petroleum Products and Lubricants of Standardization Administration of
China (SAC/TC 280).

1 Scope
This Standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification and
naming, requirements and test methods, sampling, marks, packaging,
transport and storage, safety as well as the implementation of standard for
blendstocks of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles.
This Standard is applicable to blendstocks of ethanol gasoline (E10) for motor
vehicles that consist of liquid hydrocarbons or liquid hydrocarbons and
additives of improved performance so as to comply with GB 18351
requirements as reconciliation.

3 Terms and definitions
For the purposes of this document, the following terms and definitions apply.
3.1 antiknock index
half of the sum of the research octane number (RON) and the motor octane
number (MON)
GB/T 1884, GB/T 1885 shall prevail.
6 Sampling
The sampling shall be carried out according to GB/T 4756. Take 4 L for
exit-factory inspection and sample reservation. If the blendstock of ethanol
gasoline for motor vehicles contains manganese, sampling shall be carried
out in a dark place.
7 Marks, packaging, transport and storage
7.1 The marks, packaging, transport, storage as well as delivery,
acceptance of the product of this Standard shall be in accordance with SH
0164. f the blendstock of ethanol gasoline for motor vehicles contains
manganese, it shall be protected from light during transport and storage.
7.2 During storage and transport of the blendstock of ethanol gasoline for
motor vehicles that complies with this Standard, the entire system shall be
required clean and free of water. Pay enough attention to the monitoring on
water content.
