If the size of the combined sample is not (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm, the nominal pressure, which is applied by the weight to the specimen, shall be (12.5 ± 0.9) kPa. It may use other devices, that can achieve the same result. 5.2 Thermostat Keep the temperature at (37 ± 2) °C. 5.3 Artificial urine The reagents used are chemically pure. The test solution is prepared by the grade 3 water, in accordance with GB/T 6682. It is prepared before use. Each liter of test solution contains: Urea (NH2CONH2): 26.50 g Sodium chloride (NaCl): 8.30 g Potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KH2PO4): 2.50 g Disodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate (Na2HPO4 ·12H2O): 1.80 g Calcium acetate monohydrate [Ca(CH3COO)2·H2O)]: 0.07 g Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate (MgSO4·7H2O): 0.05 g 5.4 Adhesive fabric 5.4.1 It shall meet the requirements of GB/T 6151; choose one from a) and b). a) A piece of multi-fiber lining, which meets the requirements of GB/T 7568.7. b) Two single-fiber lining fabrics, which shall meet the requirements of GB/T 7568.1 ~ 7568.6, GB/T 7568.8, GB/T 13765. The first piece is made of the same fibers as the specimen, whilst the second piece is made of the fibers specified in Table 1. If the specimen is a two-component or more than two- component fabric, the first piece is made of fibers with a major content; the second piece is made with fibers with a minor content. OR it is specified otherwise. Note: Other types of fibers can be used with reference to the same or similar fibers.6 Specimens6.1 For fabric samples, prepare a combined specimen, according to one of the following methods: a) Take a specimen of (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm. Make its front side in contact with a piece of (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm multi-fiber lining fabric (5.4.1). Stitch along one short side together, to form a combined specimen; b) Take a specimen of (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm. Sandwich it between two (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm single-fiber lining fabrics (5.4.1). Make the front side face the first fiber lining. Stitch along a short side. When testing the printed fabric, the front side is in contact with half of each piece of the two lining fabrics. Cut off the other half. Cross-cover them on the back side. Stitch the two short sides together. If one specimen cannot contain all colors, it needs taking multiple combined specimens, to contain all colors. 6.2 For yarn or loose fiber samples, take the yarn or loose fiber, which has a mass approximately equal to half of the total mass of the lining fabric. Prepare a combined specimen, according to one of the following methods: a) Clamp it in between one piece of (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm multi-fiber lining fabric (5.4.1) and one piece of (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm non- dyed fabric (5.4.2). Stitch along the four sides (see GB/T 6151), to form a combined specimen; b) Clamp it in between two (40 ± 2) mm × (100 ± 2) mm specified single-fiber lining fabrics (5.4.1). Stitch along the four sides, to form a combined specimen.7 Operating procedures7.1 At room temperature, place a combined specimen flat in a flat-bottomed container (5.10). Inject the artificial urine test solution (5.3), to make it completely wet, at a bath ratio of about 50:1. Place it at room temperature for 30 min. Press and toggle from time to time, to ensure that the test solution can fully and evenly penetrate into the specimen. Take out the specimen. Pour out the remaining liquid. Use a suitable method (such as two glass rods) to remove the excess test liquid from the combined specimen. Place the combined specimen flat, in between two glass or acrylic resin plates (5.9).
