1 Subject content and scope of application
This standard specifies the limit deviation of dimensions without tolerances indicated,
for dimension elements, which are formed by casting in automotive product parts
drawings.
This standard is applicable to the limit deviation of dimensions without tolerances
indicated, for automotive product parts drawings of sand casting, metal casting, low-
pressure casting, investment casting, pressure casting.
2 Normative references

3 Terminology
The maximum outline size of the casting (referred to as the maximum size). It refers to
the maximum size of the geometry of the included part.
4 Limit deviation of casting dimensions without tolerance
indicated
4.1 The limit deviation of sand casting dimensions, without tolerance indicated, shall
be as specified in Table 1.
4.2 The limit deviation of dimensions of metal mold and low-pressure casting, without
tolerance indicated, shall be as specified in Table 2.
4.3 The limit deviation of dimensions of investment casting, without tolerance indicated,
shall be as specified in Table 3.
4.4 The limit deviation of die casting dimensions, without tolerance indicated, is as
specified in Table 4.
4.5 The mis-box value, which is not indicated on the drawing, must be within the
dimensional tolerance of the casting.
