a) Take a filter paper with a porosity of 5 μm. Put it in an oven. Heat to 60℃~70℃.
The compressor (unit) is connected to the pipeline as shown in Figure 3. Open the
pressure equalizing valve and shut-off valve first. After evacuating it, fill it with an
appropriate amount of refrigerant. Close the pressure equalizing valve. Start and run
the compressor (unit). Adjust the opening of the shut-off valve. Make the exhaust

Test method for oil consumption
A.1 Scope of application
This method is applicable to the determination of oil consumption of compressors (units)
using R717.
A.2 General requirements
A.2.1 In order to avoid the impact of the test system on the oil consumption, the oil
accumulated in the oil separator, regulating valve, buffer, etc. shall be carefully
removed before the test starts. The oil return valve of the oil separator shall be closed
during the test.
A.2.2 During the test, the compressor (unit) shall be strictly prevented from inhaling
gas with liquid, which will affect the accuracy of the test results.
A.3 Test steps
A.3.1 First add the refrigerating machine oil of the specified designation into the
crankcase. Make the oil level reach the specified height. Start the compressor (unit)
according to the program. Run for 4 h under nominal operating conditions. When the
suction pressure is 0.1 MPa, stop the machine and drain the oil until the oil drain reaches
the point of dripping oil. Then refill the crankcase with oil and record the mass of oil
added.
A.3.2 Restart the compressor (unit). Make the compressor (unit) run continuously for
20 h under the nominal operating conditions. Shut down and drain oil when the suction
pressure is 0.1 MPa. Weigh the mass of the released oil.
A.4 Test results
The difference between the two weighed oil mass is the total oil consumption in 20 h.
From this, the oil consumption per hour can be calculated.
Annex B
(normative)
Test method for mechanical strength
B.1 Test pressure requirements
B.1.1 Test with air pressure. The test pressures on the high pressure side and low
pressure side are 1.25 times the design pressure, respectively.
B.1.2 Test with hydraulic pressure. The test pressures on the high pressure side and low
pressure side are 1.5 times the design pressure, respectively.
B.1.3 If the high pressure side and the low pressure side cannot be separated during the
test, the test pressure shall be 1.25 times (pneumatic test) or 1.5 times (hydraulic test)
of the design pressure of the high pressure side.
B.2 Air pressure test
B.2.1 Air pressure test shall have safety measures.
B.2.2 The medium for air pressure test shall be dry, clean air, nitrogen or other inert
gases. Oxygen and other dangerous gases are strictly prohibited.
B.2.3 Pressure shall be increased slowly during the air pressure test. When the air
pressure rises to 10% of the test pressure, the holding time shall not be less than 2 min.
Then do the initial inspection. The compressor housing shall be leak-free. If there is a
leak, retest after repairing. After passing the initial inspection, continue to increase the
pressure slowly to 50% of the specified test pressure. Then increase to the specified test
pressure according to the step difference of 10% of the specified test pressure for each
level. The pressure holding time is not less than 1 min. The compressor housing shall
have no abnormal deformation. Then reduce the pressure to the design pressure. Keep
the pressure for not less than 1 min. Check the compressor housing for leaks. If there is
leakage, it shall be repaired and then re-tested according to the above regulations.
B.3 Hydraulic test
B.3.1 The hydraulic test medium is a clean inert liquid (generally water) at a
temperature not lower than 5°C.
B.3.2 After filling the housing of the compressor under test with liquid and discharging
the air, slowly increase the pressure to the test pressure. The pressure holding time is
not less than 5 min. Then check. There shall be no leakage or abnormal deformation.
B.3.3 After passing the test, the water stains in the compressor housing shall be removed
