Foreword
This Standard serves as a replacement of YS/T 236-1994 Technical Requirements of
Lepidolite Concentrate.
In comparison with YS/T 236-1994, there are several main changes as follows:
---The previous two purposes and give grades are modified into the current four
grades;
---The chemical composition of various grades of product makes corresponding
adjustment.
This Standard was proposed by and shall be under the jurisdiction of National
Technical Committee 243 on Nonferrous Metals of Standardization Administration of
China.
The drafting organization of this Standard: Yichun Tantalum-niobium Ores.
The main drafters of this Standard: Jiang Xiaopeng, Peng Yonghua, Tang Liqiang, Guo
Wenping.
The release of the previous versions of the standard replaced by this Standard is as
follows:
---GB/T 3201-1982;
---YS/T 236-1994.
Lepidolite Concentrate
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking,
packaging, transportation, storage and order form (or contract) content of lepidolite
concentrate.
This Standard is applicable to lepidolite concentrate, which is obtained through mineral
processing and enrichment. The product is for the purpose of extracting lithium and its
compounds in the glass and ceramic industry, etc.
2 Normative References
Through the reference in this Standard, the clauses in the following documents
become clauses of this Standard. In terms of references with a specified date, all the
subsequent modification orders (excluding the corrected content) or revised versions
are not applicable to this Standard. However, all parties that reach an agreement in
accordance with this Standard are encouraged to explore the possibility of adopting
the latest version of these documents. In terms of references without a specified date,
the latest version is applicable to this Standard.

3 Requirements
3.1 Product Classification
In accordance with chemical composition, products shall be classified into four grades.
3.2 Chemical Composition
Products’ chemical composition shall comply with the stipulations in Table 1.

result, then, this batch of products shall be determined as disqualified.
5.5.2 When the result of moisture inspection is inconsistent with the stipulations in this
Standard, then, this batch of products shall be determined as disqualified.
5.5.3 When the result of granularity inspection is inconsistent with the stipulations in
this Standard, then, this batch of products shall be determined as disqualified.
5.5.4 When the result of appearance quality inspection is inconsistent with the
stipulations in this Standard, then, this batch of products shall be determined as
disqualified.
6 Marking, Packaging, Transportation and Storage
6.1 Marking
Products shall be packed in sacks. On each sack, the following shall be indicated:
a) Supply-side’s name;
b) Product’s name and grade;
c) Batch number;
d) Trademark.
6.2 Packaging, Transportation and Storage
6.2.1 Products shall be packed in latex bags as the internal package; products shall
be packed in polyethylene woven bags as the external package. Products shall be
packed in an equal amount. The net weight of each sack of products shall be 50 kg.
6.2.2 During the transportation, products must be protected from the rain.
6.2.3 Products shall be stored in acid-free and alkali-free area. Products shall not be
piled up in the open air. Products shall be rigorously kept away from damp.
6.3 Quality Certificate
Each batch of products shall be attached with a quality certificate, which shall indicate:
a) Supply-side’s name, address, phone number and fax number;
b) Product’s name and grade;
c) Batch number;
