1 Scope

This section applies to aluminum vanadium, molybdenum, aluminum master alloys of vanadium contents. The method of measuring a range of 0.010% to 0.30%, the second test method

2.1 Method summary
The sample was dissolved in nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid, hydrochloric acid. Inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer to measure the recommended analytical line wavelength

2.2 Reagents
2.2.1 nitric acid (11).
2.2.2 hydrofluoric acid (ρ = 1.15g/mL).
2.2.3 hydrochloric acid (ρ = 1.19g/mL).
2.2.4 pure molybdenum powder (wmo < 0.001%).
2.2.5 aluminum (wAl < 0.001%).
2.2.6 Vanadium standard stock solution. Weigh 1.7850g pre-dried at 105 ℃ vanadium pentoxide (≥99.99%) placed in 250mL burn
Cup, 50mL was added sodium hydroxide solution (10g/L), dissolved by heating, and then acidified with sulfuric acid (11) in excess 10mL, transferred to
1000mL volumetric flask, dilute with water to volume, and mix. This solution 1mL containing 1.0mg vanadium.
2.2.7 Vanadium standard solution. Pipette 10.00mL vanadium standard stock solution (2.2.6) in 100mL volumetric flask, dilute to the mark, mix
uniform. This solution 1mL containing 100μg vanadium.
2.3 Instrument
Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer with a resolution of less than 0.006nm (line analysis at 200nm).
Recommended instrument measurement conditions are shown in Table 1.
