Bismuth oxide chemical analysis
Part 4: Determination of the weight loss on ignition
1 Scope
YS/T 1014 This section specifies the method for determination of bismuth trioxide in the loss on ignition.
This section applies to bismuth trioxide Determination of loss on ignition, measured in the range of: 0.05% to 0.25%.
2 Method summary
Weigh a certain amount of sample is placed in a ceramic crucible and heated to 650 ℃ in a high temperature furnace, the sample of the Central Plains and some decomposition of the material is not burning
Will re-burning decomposition, high temperature burning to constant weight, whereby the sample is calculated in the loss of ignition.
3 Instrument
3.1 Ceramic crucible: been constant at about 700 ℃.
3.2 Ovens: temperature can be controlled at 105 ℃ ± 5 ℃, not drying oven while other materials.
3.3 Furnace temperature: the maximum temperature not lower than 800 ℃.
3.4 Analysis of balance: a sense of the amount of 0.1mg.
3.5 dryer: do with activated alumina desiccant.
4 Sample
Sample required uniform, dry and seal intact.
Step 5 Analysis
5.1 Sample
Weigh 15g sample, accurate to 0.0001g.
5.2 Determination of the number of
Independently measured twice and averaged.
5.3 Determination
5.3.1 The sample (5.1) placed in a ceramic crucible placed in thermostatic oven, at 105 ℃ ± 5 ℃ removed after drying 2h, cooled in the dryer
But 20min, weighing, and then into the oven, remove the rear 105 ℃ ± 5 ℃ dried 1h, cooling in a dryer 20min, weighing, so straight
Dried to a constant weight, and record the mass of the crucible and the sample.
5.3.2 The ceramic crucible placed in a high temperature furnace, the temperature was raised to 650 ℃ ± 10 ℃ burning 2h, cooled and placed in a desiccator, cooled to room temperature
Weighed.
