a) INSERT the USIM card into the UE and TURN it on;
b) TURN on the UE; CHECK whether the screen correctly displays the
operator ID corresponding to the PLMN number of the currently
registered network.
6.2.3 Expected results
When the UE is turned on, it shall correctly display the operator ID
corresponding to the currently registered PLMN number.
6.3 PLMN selection
6.3.1 Test purposes
VERIFY that when there is more than one available PLMN, the user can either
use this function to select one of the PLMNs OR set the PLMN selection mode.
6.3.2 Test methods
a) INSERT the USIM card into the UE and TURN it on;
b) MAKE “PLMN selection” or “network selection” in accordance with the
descriptions of the instruction manual;
c) ATTEMPT to select a PLMN or its corresponding operator
(non-proscribed network) in the searched PLMN list through the UE's
menu.
6.3.3 Expected results
a) The UE shall display all operator identifiers covering its location;
b) The UE shall register in the network as selected by the user.
c) As for those not available (prohibited PLMN), the registration fails.
6.4 Keyboard
6.4.1 Test purposes
VERIFY whether the UE keyboard is consistent with the instructions in the
manual AND whether it satisfies with the input requirements of the terminal
application.
6.4.2 Test methods
6.6 Service indicator
6.6.1 Test purposes
VERIFY whether the UE can remind the user on the man-machine interface
whether the current signal strength can be used for normal communication in
accordance with the situation of the network signal. When the signal is no...
