Foreword
This standard is, based on the requirements of the "Notice on issuing the plan
of compiling railway construction standards in 2005" (TJSH [2005] No.84) of the
Ministry of Railways, revised from the “Code for new railway engineering survey”
(TB 10101-99). To adapt to the development of the railway construction in China,
the code name is changed to “Code for railway engineering survey” in
accordance with the requirements of establishing railway engineering
standards.
In accordance with the requirements of railway construction and the
development of surveying and mapping technology, this code starts from the
requirements of survey, design, construction, operation and maintenance of
railway engineering, and is based on the comprehensive summary of practical
experience in railway engineering surveying, to assimilate the new technologies
and new methods of railway engineering survey in recent years, while deleting
some of the content which is not applicable.
This specification is divided into eight chapters, the main contents include.
general provisions, terms and symbols, plane control survey, elevation control
survey, route survey, tunnel survey, bridge culvert survey, and structural
deformation survey, and another four appendixes.
The main content of this revision is as follows.
1. EMPHASIZE the importance of control surveying in railway engineering
survey, ADD two chapters (plane control survey and elevation control
survey), INCLUDE the main technical standards and requirements for
control surveying of route, bridge, and tunnel into the chapters of plane
and elevation control survey.
2. REFLECT the survey concept of “three networks combined into one” of
railway engineering survey.
The plane and elevation control network for railway engineering survey is
divided into survey control network, construction control network, and
operation and maintenance control network in accordance with the survey
phase, the survey purpose and function. In order to ensure that the survey
results of the control network meet the requirements of three phases
(railway engineering survey, construction, and operation and
maintenance), and to meet the needs of railway construction and
operation and management, the plane and elevation control survey of the
three phases must adopt a uniform scale and calculation baseline, namely
“three networks combined in one”.
3. DETERMINE the laying principle of the grading network for railway
engineering plane control survey.
4. PROPOSE that the railway engineering survey plane coordinate system
shall be such that the projection length deformation value is not more than
25 mm/km.
5. CLARIFY the principle that the precision grade of railway engineering
plane and elevation control survey shall be determined in accordance with
the designed travel speed of passenger train.
6. CHANGE that the fixed center line control stake is used as the control
reference for route plane survey connecting the railway survey design and
the construction, into that the plane control network is used as the control
reference for railway engineering design and construction survey.
7. SUPPLEMENT the relevant technical requirements for construction
repetitive survey.
8. ADD the information of using GPS RTK location survey setting out and
aerial survey method to survey the subgrade cross-section.
9. In the elevation control surveys, ADD such information as using
photoelectric distance survey triangular control survey method in the
mountainous area to perform grade 3 elevation control surveys.
10. ADD such information as the structure deformation survey and track
construction survey.
In the process of implementing this code, it is hoped that all units will combine
their work practices, earnestly sum up experience and accumulate data. If there
is any need of revision or supplement, please promptly send comments and
relevant information to the Technical Center of China Railway ERYUAN
Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (No.3 Tongjin Road, Chengdu, Sichuan Province,
zip code. 610031), and copy it to the Ministry of Railways Economic Planning
Institute (Yangfangdian Road No.A8, Haidian District, Beijing, zip code. 100038)
for reference during future revision.
As for this code, the Ministry of Railways Construction Management Division is
responsible for its interpretation.
