1 General provisions

1.0.1 This Code is prepared with a view to unifying the design standards of railway passenger transport service information system. 1.0.2 This Code is applicable to the design of and reconstructed railway passenger transport new service information system, mainly including passenger service information system, ticketing system, luggage and parcel information system, station control system, etc. 1.0.3 The design of railway passenger transport service information system shall be adapted to the operation management mode and the scale of railway passenger station. 1.0.4 The design shall meet the requirements for safety, reliability, advanced technology, economic rationality, interconnection and resources sharing. 1.0.5 The design shall the good connection with existing relevant systems and the rational ensure use of existing resources. 1.0.6 The design shall reflect the “people-oriented” design concept and give full consideration to the requirement of passengers and passenger service personnel. 1.0.7 Corresponding security measures shall be taken in the design according to the requirements of information security level and shall comply with relevant national provisions. 1.0.8 The design shall properly consider spare parts and maintenance tools. 1.0.9 Measures of energy conservation, environmental protection, fire protection and seismic protection adopted in the design shall comply with relevant national and industrial laws and provisions. 1.0.10 In addition to this Code, the design shall also comply with relevant national standards in force.

3 Passenger Service Information System

3.1 General Requirements 3.1.1 The passenger service information system shall provide railway passengers with the information on ticket buying, entering, waiting, boarding, exiting, etc., and shall provide the passenger service personnel with the service information and operation methods operation instructions, video surveillance, etc. 3.1.2 A three-level (center, region and station) (station) architecture may be designed for the passenger service information system. 3.1.3 An integrated management platform shall be designed for the passenger service information system with multi-level architecture and should be designed for the passenger system with single-level architecture. 3.1.4 The design of station passenger service information system may consist of the public address system, passenger information display system, station video surveillance system, clock system, passenger-carrying luggage security inspection facilities, enquiry system, intrusion alarm system, call system, passenger transport operation management system, etc. 3.1.5 The passenger service information system with multi-level architecture shall support the following management modes. 1 Region centralized management or central-station centralized management. 2 Station standalone management. 3.1.6 The passenger service information system with multi-level architecture shall support the normal operating mode and the emergency operating mode. 3.1.7 The station-level subsystem of the passenger service information system with multi-level architecture shall receive commands from the integrated management platform at the higher level under normal operating mode and shall receive commands from local integrated management platform under emergency operating mode. 3.1.8 If an integrated management platform is designed for the passenger service information system with single-level architecture, each subsystem shall receive commands from the local station integrated management platform. 3.2 Integrated Management Platform 3.2.1 The center-level integrated management platform of the passenger service information system with three-level architecture shall include the following functions. 1 Summarizing, analyzing and maintaining the common basic data. 2 Collecting and processing relevant information from the region-level integrated management platform. 3 Issuing relevant basic information of center-level to the region-level integrated management platform. 3.2.2 The region-level integrated management platform of the passenger service information system with three-level architecture shall have the following functions. 1 Receiving information from the center-level integrated management platform. 2 Developing and releasing the passenger service strategy. 3 Maintaining the basic data. 4 When region-level centralized management mode is adopted, station passenger service information systems shall be monitored and managed in a centralized manner. 5 Realizing interconnection and information exchange with external systems.

6 Obtaining standard time signal through the railway time synchronization network and providing

time signal to the station-level passenger service information system. 3.2.3 The center-level integrated management platform of the passenger service information system with two-level architecture shall have the following functions. 1 Summarizing, analyzing and maintaining the common basic data.

2 Developing and releasing the passenger

3 Collecting and processing relevant information from the station-level integrated management platform. 4 Issuing relevant basic information of center-level to the station-level integrated management platform.

5 Conducting centralized monitoring and management for the station passenger service information

system when centralized management mode is adopted. 6 Realizing interconnection and information exchange with external systems.

7 Obtaining standard time signal through the railway time synchronization network and providing

time signal to the station-level passenger service information system. 3.2.4 The station-level integrated management platform shall have the following functions. 1 Stations with multi-level architecture 1) When the central station management mode is adopted, the central station shall conduct centralized monitoring and management for the station passenger service information system under its jurisdiction. 2) The managed stations shall strategy from the higher level integrated management platform and transfer such information to the relevant subsystems of local station. 3) Each station collects the operation and status data of the network and terminal equipment at the station and uploads such data to the higher level integrated management platform. 4) Each station receives the time signal from the higher level integrated management platform. 2 Stations with single-level architecture 1) Conducting station monitoring and managing the passenger service information system of the station. 2) Each station may receive the time signal from the railway time synchronization network may take the satellite timing signal as time signal.

3 The station integrated management platform of each station may be interconnected with FAS

and BAS of the local station to exchange data. 3.2.5 The equipment configuration for the center-level integrated management platform of the passenger service information system with three-level architecture shall comply with the following provisions. 1 The database server, application strategy;service interface server, NTP server, storage device, network. and management terminal etc. shall be configured. 2 Servers shall be designed with redundancy. 3 The double-controller disk array shall be adopted for the storage device. 3.2.6 The equipment configuration for the region-level integrated management platform with three- level architecture and for the center-level integrated management platform with two-level architecture shall comply with the following provisions. 1 The database server, application server, interface server, NTP server, storage device, video wall, business operation terminal, management terminal etc. shall be configured.

3 Microcomputer shall be adopted for the application with redundancy. 4 SAN mode should be adopted for the storage device with double-controller disk array. 3.2.7 The equipment configuration for the station-level integrated management platform shall comply with the following provisions. 1 Large or larger stations should be equipped with database server, application server and storage device. 2 Medium and small stations should be equipped with database interface server, and the 3 Microcomputer should be adopted for the storage device. 4 Video walls shall be configured for large or larger stations, central station and stations under standalone management mode. 5 The business operation terminal and management terminal shall be configured. 3, 2.8 Information exchange with other systems shall comply with the following provisions. 1 The passenger service information system with three-level architecture shall be interconnected with the transport dispatching management system and ticketing system through the region-level integrated management platform. 2 The passenger service information system with two-level architecture shall be interconnected with the transport dispatching management system and ticketing system through the center-level integrated management platform. 3.3 Public Address System 3.3.1 The public address system (PA system) shall provide public address services of ticket buying, entering, waiting, boarding and exiting for passengers, and provide business address for services passenger service personnel. 3. 3.2 The station PA system shall have the following functions. ......
