Summary This standard specifies the grease and liquid lubricants with standard rubber test piece compatibility method. Standard rubber is nitrile rubber (NBR-L) and chloroprene rubber (CR). This standard applies to the standard liquid lubricant grease and rubber specimen compatibility, especially for automotive lubricants grease and liquids compatible with the rubber specimen assessment, this standard also applies to industrial use liquid lubricant evaluation. This standard applies to the test results and the liquid lubricant and grease contact rubber seals, seals, O-rings and similar products mechanical requirements are not demanding occasions assessment. With grease and liquid lubricants in contact with rubber parts face greater deflection, temperature and stress of demanding applications, should be evaluated rubber other properties, such as tensile strength, elongation at break, in order to more realistically reflect the compatibility with the rubber. This standard relates to certain hazardous materials, operations and equipment, but not all of the safety issues relating to this recommendation.
