1 Scope
This Standard specifies the contents required by the implementation conditions, test
items, test methods, evaluation basis, test procedures and test report for the new
product design type test of electric motorcycles and electric mopeds.
This Standard is applicable to electric motorcycles and electric mopeds (see GB/T
24158-2009 for the definitions) (Unless otherwise specified, they are referred to as
electric motorcycles).
2 Normative References
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through
reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties
who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest
versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition
of the referenced document applies.

3 Implementation Conditions
3.1 The manufacturer is required to provide the following documents.
a) Product enterprise standards including product technical conditions and
specifications;
3.2 The tested vehicle shall meet the requirements of design drawings and technical
documents approved by prescribed procedures.
3.3 Provide 3 test sample vehicles.
3.4 The organization which undertakes the test shall prepare the test program as per
the provisions of this Standard.
During the test period, if any of the following circumstances occur, the test shall be
terminated in advance.
3.5 During the test period, maintain the vehicle as per the provisions of use
instructions.
3.6 After the completion of the test, the test organization shall issue the test report
as per the provisions of Chapter 6.
4 Test Items, Test Methods and Evaluation Basis
4.1 The type test consists of three parts, i.e. mandatory standards specified item test,
entire-vehicle performance test, and reliability test.
4.2 Mandatory standards specified item test. It contains all compulsory motorcycle
test items stipulated in the standards listed in Appendix A. the symbols for controls,
indicators, and telltales shall be inspected as per the requirements of GB/T 4094.2.
4.3 Entire-vehicle performance test.
4.3.1 The measurement results of entire-vehicle basic parameters and performance
test results shall be evaluated according to the product technical conditions of the
enterprise.
4.4 Reliability test. The entire-vehicle reliability test shall be performed as per the
method specified in 6.4.18 of GB/T 24158-2009; the test results shall meet the
requirements specified in 5.2.18 of GB/T 24158-2009.
5 Test Procedures
The type test shall be performed in the following procedures.
