Foreword
This Standard non-equivalently adopts ECE R110 “Uniform provisions concerning the
approval of specific components of motor vehicles using compressed natural gas
(CNG) in their propulsion system and vehicles with regard to the installation of specific
components of an approved tire for the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) in their
propulsion system” and ISO 15500 “Road vehicles - Compressed natural gas (CNG)
fuel system components”. This Standard partly replaces technical requirements for the
specific components of vehicles using compressed natural gas (CNG) in QC/T 245
“Provisions concerning the specific components of vehicles using compressed natural
gas (CNG) and their installation”.
This Standard was proposed by China Machinery Industry Federation.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the Nation al Technical Committee of
Auto Standardization.
Drafting organizations of this Standard. Chongqing Automotive Research Institute,
Nanchong Machinery Plant of Sichuan Petroleum Administrative Bureau, Sichuan
Syenki Electronics Co., Ltd.
Main drafters of this Standard. Chen Wanying, Wang Kai, Zhang Haihui, Deng Jie and
Li Gang.
This Standard is issued for first-time.
This Standard shall be interpreted by the National Technical Committee of Auto
Standardization.
Technical requirements for specific components of
vehicles using compressed natural gas (CNG)
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the definitions and technical requirements of specific
components of vehicle consuming compressed natural gas (hereinafter referred as
the specific components).
This Standard applies to the specific components consuming the compressed natural
gas (hereinafter referred as CNG) as specified in GB 18047 with the rated working
pressure of 20 MPa.
2 Normative references
The provisions in following documents become the provisions of this Standard through
reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties
who reach an agreement based on this Standard are encouraged to study if the latest
versions of these documents are applicable. For undated references, the latest edition
of the referenced document applies.

4.1.3 The parts of specific component whose correct and safe function is liable to be
influenced by CNG, high pressure or vibrations shall fulfill the provisions as stipulated
in GB/T 18363, QC/T 671, QC/T 674, QC/T 675 and GB 17258.
4.1.4 The materials of the parts of specific component which are in contact with CNG
shall be compatible with it. If they are made of black metal, measures to prevent
corrosion such as electroplating, chemical treatment or painting shall be adopted. The
coating or plating layer or chemical treated layer of the part shall fulfill the provisions
as stipulated in QC/T 625.
4.2 System requirements
4.2.1 A CNG system shall contain at least the following specific components.
a) Filling unit or receptacle;
b) Automatic air cylinder;
c) Accessories to automatic air cylinder;
d) Air pressure (volume) indicator;
e) Stop valve;
f) High-pressure line and joint;
g) Lines;
h) Electromagnetic valve;
i) Pressure adjustor;
j) Gas mixer or injector;
k) Low pressure air line and circulating water hose;
