This standard applies to the rear protection and energy absorption device, which is installed at the rear of dangerous goods transport vehicles and special operation vehicles. The rear protection and energy absorption device, which is installed at the rear of other vehicles, can be implemented with reference to this standard. 2 Normative references The following documents are essential to the application of this document. For the dated documents, only the versions with the dates indicated are applicable to this document; for the undated documents, only the latest version (including all the amendments) is applicable to this standard. GB 1589 Limits of dimensions, axle load and masses for motor vehicles, trailers and combination vehicles GB/T 2408 Plastics - Determination of burning characteristics - Horizontal and vertical test GB 4785 Prescription for installation of the external lighting and light-signaling devices for motor vehicles and their trailers GB 11567 Motor vehicles and trailers-lateral and rear underrun protection requirements GB 20072 The requirements of fuel system safety in the event of rear-end collision for passenger car QC/T 1067.1 Connector used in automobile wire harness and electrical device - Part 1: Definition, test method and requirement 1 - The o point is the geometric center of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle; 2 - The face f is the connection surface of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, that is, the CDHG face. Figure 1 -- Appearance of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle 4 Requirements 4.1 General requirements 4.1.1 Quality requirements The full-load mass of a vehicle, which is equipped with the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, shall not exceed the maximum design total mass, which is indicated in the vehicle manual. 4.1.2 Lamp requirements 4.1.2.1 The rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle shall be equipped with turn signals, rear position lights, brake lights, rear fog lights, reflectors, etc. The number and type of lamps shall be consistent with the that of the original vehicle in principle. In special circumstances where it requires additional lamps, the quantity, installation location, light distribution performance of lamps and light color of lamps shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 4785. 4.1.2.2 The wire harnesses and connectors for electrical equipment, which is used in the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, shall comply with the relevant requirements of QC/T 1067.1. 4.1.3 Appearance requirements The outer surface of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle shall be smooth; the height of the head of the screw or shackle shall not protrude from the surface more than 10 mm; the end of the rear protection and energy absorption device shall be rounded, which has a fillet radius of not less than 2.5 mm. 4.2 Installation requirements 4.2.1 The rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle can be designed to have different installation positions. At this time, there shall be a reliable method, to ensure that it will not move randomly, in the installation position, after installation. The force, which needs to be applied when adjusting its installation position, shall not exceed 400 N. moving barrier, from the time when it is separated from the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, as the initial position, to a position of about 0.2 m, in km/h. If the moving barrier is not separated from the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, OR the rebound distance is less than 0.2 m, the rebound speed shall be recorded as 0 km/h; v2 - The initial speed of the moving barrier, that is, the moving speed of the moving barrier, within 1 m before the collision, km/h. 4.3.3 Carry out the test in accordance with 5.2. The maximum deceleration of the moving barrier shall not be greater than 40 g (g is the acceleration of gravity, the value of which is 9.8 m/s2). 4.3.4 Carry out the test in accordance with 5.2. The rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle shall not fall off as a whole. 5 Test methods 5.1 Material combustion characteristics test Carry out the test, according to the vertical combustion test method in GB/T 2408. 5.2 Collision test 5.2.1 Test conditions and test preparation 5.2.1.1 The test site shall be large enough, to accommodate the test road, fixed barriers, technical equipment required for the test. The road shall be level, flat, smooth, at least 5 m in front of the fixed barrier. 5.2.1.2 The parameters, such as the total mass, length, width, height of the lower edge above the ground of the moving barrier shall comply with the relevant provisions of GB 20072. 5.2.1.3 The fixed barrier is made of reinforced concrete, wherein the width of the front end is not less than 3 m AND the height is not less than 1.5 m. The thickness of the barrier shall ensure that its mass is not less than 7 x 104 kg. The front surface of the barrier shall be vertical; its normal line shall be at an angle of 0° with the straight-line driving direction of the vehicle. The front surface of the barrier shall have an appropriate structure, for the installation of test pieces. 5.2.1.4 The rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle shall be firmly and reliably installed, on the fixed barrier. During the test, the installation point can move relatively, BUT the whole shall not fall off. The impacted plane of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle is perpendicular to the impact direction; the height of the lower edge of the device from the horizontal ground shall be such, that the front collision surface of the moving barrier just completely covers the collided plane of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, in height. 5.2.2 Implementation of collision test 5.2.2.1 The moving barrier shall not be subjected to any additional steering or driving device, at the moment of collision. 5.2.2.2 During the process of the moving barrier to the route of the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle, the deviation from the theoretical trajectory, in any lateral direction, shall not exceed 150 mm. 5.2.2.3 At the moment of collision, the speed of the moving barrier shall be km/h. If the test is carried out at a higher speed, meanwhile the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle meets the requirements, the test is also considered qualified. 5.2.3 Measurement items 5.2.3.1 Measure the movement speed of the moving barrier, within the range of 1 m before the collision between the moving barrier and the rear protection and energy absorption device for particular class vehicle. 5.2.3.2 Install 2 acceleration sensors, at the center of gravity of the moving barrier, to collect X-direction acceleration. The data collection shall comply with the relevant data collection requirements in GB 11567. 5.2.3.3 Use a high-speed camera of not less than 1000 frames/s, to shoot the collision process from the front and side. Measure the rebound speed of the moving barrier, after the collision, by image analysis. The measurement of the rebound speed takes the separation time, between the moving barrier and the rear protection and energy absorption device, as the initial position, to measure the average speed, when the vehicle rebounds to a position of about 0.2 m. If the moving barrier is not separated from the rear protection and energy absorption device, OR the rebound distance is less than 0.2 m, the rebound speed is recorded as 0 km/h. 6 Inspection rules 6.1 Inspection classification Inspection is divided into exit-factory inspection and type inspection. 6.2 Exit-factory inspection ......
