1 Scope
This document specifies the requirements for raw materials, sensory properties,
physical and chemical properties, hygiene, compatibility of personal lubricants
(hereinafter referred to as "products"). It also describes the corresponding test methods;
specifies inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation, storage; provides product
classifications for the purpose of technical provisions.
This document applies to the production, inspection, sale of personal lubricants used as
sexual wellbeing products.
2 Normative references
The contents of the following documents, through normative references, constitute
essential provisions of this document. For dated references, only the version
corresponding to that date applies to this document. For undated references, the latest
version (including all amendments) applies to this document.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
Lubricants
Products applied to the skin or mucous membranes of the human body to assist with
sexual intercourse and provide lubrication.
4 Product classification
Classified as water-based or oil-based, in accordance with the properties of the solvent
in the primary raw material.
5 Requirements
5.1 General requirements
5.1.1 Products shall not pose a hazard to human health under normal, reasonable,
foreseeable conditions of use.
5.1.2 A safety evaluation shall be conducted, for any new product or any significant
change in the product's formula or production process.
5.2 Raw materials
The raw materials used in the product shall comply with the raw material requirements
in the "Safety technical specifications for cosmetics" (2015 edition).
5.3 Sensory, physical, chemical, hygienic indicators
It shall meet the requirements in Table 1.
5.4 Compatibility
For products not explicitly stated on the product packaging or instructions for use that
shall not be used with condoms, the change in length of the compatibility test piece
after the test in 6.5 shall not exceed 5%.
6 Test methods
6.1 Safety evaluation
Provide a safety evaluation report in accordance with GB/T 16886.1, GB/T 16886.5,
GB/T 16886.10, or a safety and toxicology data report in accordance with relevant
international standards.
6.2 Sensory indicators
6.2.1 Appearance
Visually inspect at room temperature and out of direct sunlight. Insoluble matter listed
in the ingredient list is not considered foreign matter.
6.2.2 Odor
Identify by smell.
6.3 Physical and chemical indicators
6.3.1 Heat stability
6.3.1.1 Instrument
Electric thermostat. Settable temperature. (40 ± 2) °C.
6.3.1.2 Analytical procedure
Place an unopened sample in an electric thermostat pre-set to (40 ± 2) °C. After 24
hours, remove the sample; return it to room temperature; visually compare it with
another sample stored at room temperature.
6.3.2 Cold stability
6.3.2.1 Instrument
Low-temperature chamber. Settable temperature. (-10 ± 2) °C.
6.3.2.2 Analytical procedure
Place an unopened sample in a low-temperature chamber pre-set to (-10 ± 2) °C. After
24 hours, remove the sample; return it to room temperature; visually compare it with
another sample stored at room temperature.
6.3.3 pH
Test according to the dilution method described in GB/T 13531.1-2008.
6.3.4 Acid value
Test according to the method described in QB/T 4079.
6.3.5 Peroxide value
Test according to the method described in QB/T 4079.
6.4 Hygiene indicators
Test according to the method described in the "Safety technical specifications for
cosmetics" (2015 edition).
