This Standard was proposed by China National Light Industry Council.
This Standard shall be under the jurisdiction of the National Standardization Centre on
Surface Active Agents and Detergents.

1 Application Scope
This Standard specifies the requirements for the marking and packaging of all kinds of
detergents including laundry powders, laundry detergents, laundry soaps, toilet soaps,
dish washing detergents, bath lotions and hand lotions.
This Standard applies to the marking and packaging of all kinds of detergents including
laundry powders, laundry detergents, laundry soaps, toilet soaps, dish washing
detergents, bath lotions and hand lotions.

reference in this Standard. For dated references, the subsequent amendments
(excluding corrigendum) or revisions do not apply to this Standard, however, parties

3 Terms
For the purposes of this document, the following terms apply.
3.1
mark
A joint name of all kinds of expressions which is used to identify products and their
mass, quantity, characteristics and use method. It can be expressed with words,
symbols, numbers, patterns and other exponents.
3.2
label
A carrier of marking which can be pasted or printed on marketing package.
3.3
marketing packaging
Packaging which is mainly for the purpose of marketing and comes to the consumers
along with its content.
3.4
transportation packing
Packing which is mainly for the purpose of transportation, contains several articles of
consumption and plays a role for the convenience of storage and transportation and
enhancement of protection.
3.5
net contents
The actual mass or volume of contents after subtracting packing containers and other
packing materials.
4 Marking
4.1 Forms
4.2 Basic requirements
4.3 Annotation content
4.3.1 Product name
A general name complying with product standards, or a special name reflecting the
true nature which is clear and easy to understand, shall be marked clearly in a striking
position of product label. A common name or popular name which will not cause
misleading or confusion.
4.3.5 Manufacturing date and guaranteed term
4.3.5.1 When it is required by laws or regulations or products’ explicit standards or
the manufacturer needs to mark, marking is provided in accordance with one of the
following two methods.
4.3.7 Product type and quality grade
When the product type and quality grade are specified in the product standard, the
product type and quality grade shall be marked as specified in the product standard.
4.3.8 Mark and number of production license
The products which are subjected to production license, shall be marked with valid
production license mark and number.
4.4 Marking content
4.4.1 Place of manufacturer, which shall be true.
4.5 Marketing packaging
4.5.1 The marketing packaging shall be as specified in 4.3 and 4.4.
4.5.2 When the area of the maximum surface of product package is less than 10 cm2,
it is acceptable that only product name, manufacturer name, manufacturing date and
guaranteed terms are marked, and the other content is marked on the additional
exponents.
4.5.3 Products of nude packing may be left without marking.
4.6 Transportation packaging

The product package is divided into two varieties in accordance with the function.
marketing package and transportation package.

The quality defects of product package are divided into categories A and B. category
A includes general quality defects; category B includes minor quality defects.
5.3.2 Printing and labelling
All indexes of product printing and labelling shall be as specified in Table 1.
