Foreword
This Standard is the newer revision of QB/T 2801-2006 Leather - Examination
for acceptance, marking, packing, transportation and storage, and QB/T
2802-2006 Packing marking transportation and conservation of leather, which
are incorporated as a single standard after revision.
Compared with QB/T 2801-2006 and QB/T 2802-2006, the main changes of
this Standard are as follows.
- CHANGE the standard name to Leather - Examination for acceptance,
marking, packing, transportation and storage;
- REFINE the “Scope";
- ADD the “Normative references";
- Modify the “Inspection rules";
- ADD the “Marking" content;
- SIMPLIFY the "Packing" requirements;
- SPECIFY the "Transportation and storage" requirements.
This Standard was proposed by China Light Industry Federation.
This Standard is administered by the National Leather Industry
Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 252).
This Standard was drafted by organizations. Peak Ampuy Industry Co., Ltd.,
and China Leather and Footwear Industry Research Institute.
The main drafters of this Standard. Chen Ronghui, and Chen Rongshen.
From the date of implementation, this Standard replaces the previous Light
Industry Standard QB/T 2801-2006 Leather - Examination for acceptance,
marking, packing, transportation and storage, and QB/T 2802-2006 Packing
marking transportation and conservation of leather.
This Standard replaces the previous standards as follows.
- QB 198-1962, GB/T 4693-1984, QB/T 2801-2006;
- QB 201-1962, GB/T 4694-1984, QB/T 2802-2006.

packing, transportation and storage
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the acceptance rules, marking, packing, transport and
storage for finished leather products.
This Standard applies to various civilian leather products.
This Standard does not apply to those leather products used in special
industries.
2 Normative references
The following documents are essential for the application of this document. Fro
those quoted documents with date, only the dated version is applicable to this
document. For those quoted documents without date, the latest version
(including all amendments) applies to this document.
GB/T 16799 Furniture leather
GB 20400 Leather and fur. Limit of harmful matter

QB/T 1873 Shoe upper leather
QB/T 2001 Leather - Tests for color fastness - Color fastness to cycles of
to-and-fro rubbing
QB/T 2288 Transfer coating leather
3 Acceptance rules
3.1 Before exiting factory, products shall be subject to inspection, sorting and
grading, after passing inspection the products may be shipped out from the
factory.
- Product quality shall comply with the leather related standards such as GB
20400, GB/T 16799, QB/T 1872, QB/T 1873, QB/T 2001, QB/T 2288, QB/T
2536, QB/T 2680, QB/T 2703, and QB/T 2704;
- Products of special requirements and exporting products shall comply with
the contract or agreement.
3.6 Product grading label shall be consistent with the actual situation of the
product, if the grading label does not match with the actual situation, it is
deemed unqualified.
3.7 After products are delivered, if the purchaser has doubt to the product
quality (quality problems have been found or potential quality problems), the
purchaser shall raise such doubts within the verification timeline. If the
purchaser never raises any objection, it is deemed that the delivery and
acceptance are qualified, the supplier shall not assume quality responsibility.
3.8 After products are delivered, under normal transportation, storage,
processing and usage conditions, if the verification timeline is less than 180
days, there is no quality problem occurred within the verification timeline,
however, there is quality problem occurred within 180 days, it shall be
entrusted to the national quality supervision and inspection agency to perform
inspection or appraisal, quality responsibilities shall be borne by the fault party.
If the quality problem is occurred half-year after product delivery, the supplier
shall no longer bear the quality responsibility.
4 Marking
Product packaging shall be marked with the following content.

The product’s internal and external packing shall use suitable packing
materials, so as to prevent damage to the product.
