Foreword
This Standard was drafted as per the rules specified in GB/T 1.1-2009 Directives for
Standardization – Part 1: Structure and Drafting of Standards.
This Standard was formulated by reference of GB 19189-2011 Quenched and
Tempered High Strength Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels.
This Standard replaced Q/BQB 660-2016.
Compared with Q/BQB 660-2016, this Standard only made partial editorial
modifications instead of technical modifications.
This Standard contains the steel B610E (08MnNiVR, 12MnNiVR), which is high heat
input welding steel (welding heat input ≤100kJ/cm); while B610CF (07MnMoVR),
B610CF-L1 (07MnNiVDR) and B610CF-L2(07MnNiMoDR) are low welding crack
susceptibility steel.
The Appendix A of this Standard is informative.

High Strength Steel Plates for Pressure Vessels
1 Scope
This Standard specifies the dimension, shape, technical requirements, inspection and
test, marking and quality certificate, etc. of the high strength steel plate for pressure
vessels.
This Standard is applicable to the high strength steel plate for high heat input welding
steel (≤100kJ/cm) and low welding crack susceptibility pressure vessels.

when using this Standard, the grade within the bracket can also be used. If ordering according to the
grade of 07MnNiMoDR, the minimum service temperature of the material shall be instructed.
4 Information Required for Ordering
As required, the user is required to provide the following information sufficient to
indicate the required materials when ordering:
a) Standard number;
b) Grade;
c) Specification and edge status;
d) Weight;
e) Use;
f) Minimum service temperature of material, if ordering by the grade of
07MnNiMoDR;
g) Others (such as particular requirements, etc.).
5 Dimension, Shape, Weight and Permissible Deviation
The dimension, shape, weight and permissible deviation of steel plate shall conform to
the provisions of GB 713.
6 Technical Requirements
6.1 Grade and chemical composition
6.1.1 The steel grade and chemical composition (smelting analysis) shall conform to
the provisions of Table 2.
6.1.2 The permissible deviation for the chemical composition of steel plate shall
conform to the provisions of Table 2 in GB/T 222; however, the upper deviation for the
permissible deviation of P content shall be 0.003%; while the upper deviation for the
permissible deviation of S content shall be 0.002%.
6.6 Ultrasonic inspection
The steel plate shall be ultrasonically inspected one by one; the inspection method
shall be performed as per NB/T 47013.3. The qualification level is Class-I. The probe
shall be selected as specified in GB/T 2970.
6.7 Particular requirements
After the consultation between the supplier and the purchaser, and indicated in the
contract, other particular requirements can be proposed against the steel plate.
7 Inspection and Test
7.1 The appearance of the steel plate shall be visually examined.
7.2 The dimension and shape of the steel plate shall be measured by appropriate
measuring tool.
7.3 The inspection items, specimen quantity, sampling method, test method and
sampling direction of each bath steel plates shall conform to the provisions of Table 4.
7.4 Sampling frequency
7.4.1 Sampling frequency of the chemical composition analysis
The smelting analysis of chemical composition shall be carried out by furnace.
7.4.2 Sampling frequency of mechanical and process properties
Each batch shall consist of the same heat-treated mother board.......
