1 Scope
This part specifies the inspection rules and test methods for AC charging spot
of electric vehicle (hereinafter referred to as charging spot).
This part applies to charging spot in connection mode A, connection mode B,
and connection mode C in charging mode 3.
This part applies to type testing, ex-factory inspection, arrival acceptance of
charging spots.
This part applies to charging spots as specified in NB/T 33002-2018.

a) Frequency: 50 Hz ± 0.5 Hz;
b) AC power voltage: 220V / 380V, allowable deviation ± 5%;
c) AC power waveform: sine wave, waveform distortion factor is not greater
than 5%;
d) Imbalance of AC power system: not more than 5%.
5.1.4 Requirements for test equipment
Unless otherwise specified, the instruments used in the test shall meet the
following requirements:
a) The measuring instruments and meters used shall pass the metrological
verification or calibration; the certificate shall be valid;
b) The measuring range of measuring instruments and meters shall cover
the measuring range being measured;
c) The measurement uncertainty of the test instrument, meter or system shall
be better than 1/3 of the allowable error being measured;
d) The measured value shall be more than 1/5 of the range of the selected
instrument and meter.
5.1.5 Test load
It is recommended to use RLC type load or electronic load.
5.2 General inspection
5.2.1 Visual inspection
Visually check that the housing of the charging spot (including the charging
connection device) shall be flat, without obvious defects such as bumps,
scratches, deformation, etc.; the surface coating and plating shall be uniform
and not fall off; the parts (including the charging connection device) shall be
fastened and reliable, without such defects and damages as rust, burr, crack.
5.2.2 Marking inspection
Visually check the position and content of the charging spot’s nameplate for
correctness and completeness. The content of the nameplate shall comply with
8.1.1 of NB/T 33002-2018. Visually check the correctness and integrity of the
charging spot’s wiring, grounding and safety signs. Observe and use a piece of
absorbent cotton soaked with distilled water to wipe it 15 rounds in about 15 s;
then use a piece of absorbent cotton soaked in gasoline to wipe it for 15 rounds
in about 15 s; apply the pressure of about 2 N/cm2 to the absorbent cotton on
monitoring system or operation management system as specified by the
manufacturer are connected to the test system. During the charging process,
the charging spots shall be able to communicate according to the agreed
protocol requirements.
5.3.2 Inspection of charging connection device
The charging connection device configured for the charging spot shall have
certification materials that comply with GB/T 20234.1-2015 and GB/T 20234.2-
2015; or follow the methods as specified in 6.2 of GB/T 34657.1-2017 to double
check the power supply socket (connection method A or the connection method
B), the structural size of the vehicle plug (connection method C), the plug space
size (connection method C).
5.3.3 Lockout device inspection
Connect the charging spot to the test system and start charging. During the
charging process, perform the test according to the following steps:
a) For the charging spot which uses the connection method A or connection
method B, when the rated current of the charging spot is more than 16A,
the power supply socket shall be equipped with the electronic lockout
device with position feedback function.
b) The charging connection device is fully connected and starts the charging
spot. The voltage value of detection point-1 or detection point-4 shall be
within the range allowed for charging. Confirm the effectiveness of the
mechanical locking of the power supply interface and / or vehicle interface;
check whether the feedback signal of the electronic lock corresponds to
the actual lockout state, to confirm the effectiveness of the electronic
lockout of the charging spot; by checking whether the mechanical lockout
device can be opened, confirm the interlocking effect of the electronic
lockout device on the mechanical locking device.
c) When the electronic lock is not reliably locked, the charging spot shall not
allow charging. During the entire charging process, the electronic lock of
the charging spot shall be reliably locked, it shall neither be unlocked with
power on, nor be unlocked directly by human hands.
d) Within 100ms after the AC power supply circuit is cut off after the normal
charging is over, check that the electronic lock shall not be unlocked.
e) Check that the electronic lockout device shall have an emergency unlock
function.
5.3.4 Test of display function
Connect the charging spot to the test system; use short-circuit output or trigger
the AC contactor (or similar device)’s feedback signal, let the analog output
switch be in the normally closed (cannot be disconnected) or normally open
state, start the charging. The charging spot shall not allow charging and there
are warnings.
5.4.5 Test of contact current
The contact current of the charging spot shall comply with the provisions of 11.2
in GB/T 18487.1-2015.
5.4.6 Test of leakage protection
Connect the charging spot to the test system. During the charging process,
simulate that the leakage exceeds the protection threshold. The charging spot
shall immediately cut off the AC power supply circuit.
5.5 Inspection of charging mode and connection method
Visually check that the charging mode used by the charging spot shall comply
with the charging mode 3 specified in 5.1 of GB/T 18487.1-2015; the connection
method shall adopt either the connection method A, connection B, or
connection method C as specified in 3.1.3 of GB/T 18487.1-2015. The charging
spot with a rated current greater than 32A shall use the connection method C.
5.6 Inspection of cable management and storage
For connection method C, the charging spot shall be equipped with a vehicle
plug storage device with the spot, which can be separated from the charging
spot or fixed on the charging spot. When the vehicle plug is not used, the vehicle
plug shall be stored at 0.5 m ~ 1.5 m above the ground; for charging spots using
cables longer than 7.5 m, the free cable length shall not exceed 7.5 m. For
products where the vehicle plug storage device is separated from the charging
spot, the product manual shall include relevant instructions for the installation
location of the vehicle plug storage device.
5.7 Test of internal temperature rise
The reference ambient air temperature is 25 °C. Install a temperature
measuring element on the measured part of the charging spot. The temperature
can be measured by melting particles, change indicators or thermocouples.
These measuring elements shall be placed where the influence of the
measured temperature is negligible. Close the lid or door; connect the charging
spot to the test system; input the rated voltage; set it to operate under the rated
load, to make the temperature of each heating element gradually rise to thermal
stability. For the definition of thermal stability, refer to 4.8 of GB/T 2421.1-2008.
The test of temperature rise shall meet the requirements of Table 2.

5.13 Test of standby power consumption
For charging spots with standby function (one machine with dual charging and
below), at the rated input voltage, only the status of basic functions such as
background communication and status indicators are retained. The standby
power consumption of the charging spot shall not be greater than 15 W.
5.14 Controlled guidance test
5.14.1 Test of charge control state
Connect the charging spot to the test system and carry out the test in
accordance with the method specified in 6.4.2 of GB/T 34657.1-2017. The test
results shall meet the requirements of the corresponding conformity
assessment. For a multi-charging spot, each vehicle interface shall be tested
separately, meanwhile the control guidance function of each interface shall run
independently and be completely isolated.
5.14.2 Test of control timing of charging connection
Connect the charging spot to the test system and carry out the test according
to the method specified in 6.4.3 of GB/T 34657.1-2017. The test results shall
meet the requirements of the corresponding conformity assessment.
5.14.3 Test of limit value of control guidance voltage
Connect the charging spot to the test system and carry out the test in
accordance with the method specified in 6.4.5 of GB/T 34657.1-2017. The test
results shall meet the requirements of the corresponding conformity
assessment.
5.14.4 Test of continuity of protective earth conductor
Connect the charging spot to the test system and carry out the test according
to the method specified in 6.4.4.4 of GB/T 34657.1-2017. The test results shall
meet the requirements of the corresponding conformity assessment.
5.14.5 Test of control guidance signal abnormality
Connect the charging spot to the test system and perform the test in accordance
with the methods specified in 6.4.4.1, 6.4.4.2, 6.4.4.3 of GB/T 34657.1-2017.
The test results shall meet the requirements of the corresponding conformity
assessment.
5.14.6 Test of closure of switch S2 after opening
the normal operation or safety of the charging spot, meanwhile the
charging spot operates normally after power is applied.
b) The charging spot for indoor use shall meet the requirements of IP3X.
Push the 2.5 mm diameter burr-free test rod into the opening of the
charging spot’s shell at a test force of 3.0 N. The diameter of the test tool
cannot pass through any opening of the charging spot.
5.17.2 Test of preventing water from entering
Test of preventing water from entering the charging spot’s shell according to the
method of GB/T 4208.
a) Charging spots for outdoor use shall meet the requirements of IPX4. It can
be subjected to swing pipe water spray test or sprinkler water spray test.
After the test, check that there is no obvious stagnant water in the charging
spot’s shell, or there is water but it does not affect the normal operation or
damage the safety of the charging spot, meanwhile the charging spot
operates normally after being powered on.
1) Swing pipe water spray test. Place the charging spot under the swing
pipe, so that the swing pipe sprays water within ± 180° of the vertical
direction; the maximum radius of the swing pipe is 1.6 m. The maximum
distance between the charging spot and the swing pipe is 0.2 m. The
flow rate of each hole of the swing pipe is 0.07 L/min. The test lasts for
10 min.
2) Spray head water test. Use the sprinkler to perform a water spray test
on the charging spot. The water flow rate is 12.5 L/min; the pressure is
in the range of 50 kPa ~ 150 kPa. During the test, the pressure shall be
kept constant. The sprinkler needs to remove the baffle of the balance
weight, so that the charging spot’s shell is exposed to water in all
possible directions. The test time is calculated based on the surface
area of the charging spot’s shell, which is 1 min/m2, at least 5 min.
b) The charging spot for indoor use meets the requirements of IPX2. The
charging spot is fixed on the dripping platform. The shell is inclined at 15°
from the perpendicular line on two mutually perpendicular planes at four
fixed positions. The drip flow is 3 mm/min. The test is continued at each
inclined position for 2.5 minutes. After the test, check that there is no
obvious water accumulation, or there is water but it does not affect the
normal operation or damage the safety of the charging spot, meanwhile
the charging spot operates normally after being powered on.
5.18 Salt spray test
Perform the test according to the method of GB/T 2423.17-2008. Before the

Place the charging spot in an environmental test box. According to the
requirements of GB/T 2423.2-2008 "Test Bb: High temperature test
requirements for temperature gradient of non-heat dissipation test sample”, at
the test temperature of 50 °C. After the environmental test box reaches the test
temperature and it is stable, set the charging spot to run at the rated load; the
display function, input function, communication function of the charging spot
shall be normal. After the test temperature continues for 2 hours, the charging
control guidance function, display function, input function, communication
function, protection function of the charging spot shall be normal at the test
environment.
5.22 Cyclic damp heat test ......
