Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard is not equivalent to the international standard ISO 16895-1.2008 "Wood-based panels - dry fiberboard - Part 1. Classification" (Wood-base
panels-Dry-processfibreboard-Part 1. Classifications) and ISO 16895-2.2010(E) "Wood-based panels - dry fiberboard -
Part 2. Technical Requirements (Wood-basepanels-Dry-processfibreboard-Part 2. Requirements)
Related content of fiberboard and ultra-low density fiberboard.
This standard replaces LY/T 1718-2007 "Lightweight Fiberboard".
Compared with LY/T 1718-2007, the main technical changes in this standard are as follows.
--- Expanded the density range of the product, and modified "density ≤ 450kg/m3" to "density < 650kg/m3";
--- Increased usage status and its definition;
--- Increased product performance requirements for different use conditions.
Please note that some of the contents of this document may involve patents. The issuing organization of this document is not responsible for identifying these patents.
This standard is proposed and managed by the National Standardization Technical Committee for Wood-based Panels (SAC/TC198).

Low density and ultra low density fiberboard
1 Scope
This standard specifies the terms, definitions and abbreviations, classifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and requirements for low density and ultra low density fiberboard.
Marking, packaging, transportation and storage.
This standard applies to low-density and ultra-low-density fiberboard produced by dry process from lignocellulosic or other plant fibers.
Note. The product performance requirements specified in this standard are not considered as characteristic values for engineering design applications.
